I can't be arsed walking to the ground in an escort though. Any ideas how a mid 20s group of lads can not be hauled into one

Depends on the trains to and from Nuneaton. With the prospect of extra time (slim I know) it might rule out the train anyway.

Was just thinking the same. Instead of Walsall, we are contemplating Blues and Leicester; we are playing good football and looking good for a play off place (hopefully better), yet you know if we lose to Fleetwood (who've only lost once at home) somebody on here will turn on Robins !!

We'll probably beat Lesta then finish 7th

I'll drive up to the old man's and meet friends in Bed or Nuneaton, why would it rule out the train? Don't they run late to Nuneaton?

I distinctly remember that awful away day at Charlton last game of Championship season in 07/08 when we did everything we could to get ourselves relegated but they went down instead & we all laughed at their expense... How times have changed!

As someone who grew up in Hinckley this is either horrible or fantastic and I don’t know which it is. Phone has been lit up since the draw.

I never once saw a game between us and them without some kind of nastiness, one of my favourite games ever was 94/95 when after 8 years apart filled with piss taking both ways, aggression & pretty horrible stuff going on, we beat them 4-2, it was a long time coming and we did them.

Having said all that, I want promotion more than to see us get beaten at Leicester, and I don’t think getting beaten badly there is gonna help that, a replay is already bad enough.

But if it does happen, it will be massive. We haven’t played in years but they still hate us, don’t let any of them ever pretend they don’t.

That was also the season we rubbed it in Southampton's faces that SISU had picked us instead-we sure can pick em

Last time I was at Leicester our car got attacked by a good 20 of their fans and we had to drive up the wrong side of the road to get away lol.

Never been a dull fixture

Last time I went there we were 3 down in about 30 minutes. Geoff Horsfield scored.

Time before that Youseff Safri scored an equaliser.

I just assumed they really like a white bloomer.

The bit I hate is the song doesn’t even make sense. Your mums your dad, your dads your mum sounds more like transphobia than a dig at incest. Then using interbred rather than inbred or incestual. Hate it.

Should be: your bros your dad, sisters your mum, incestual, Leicester scum.
Even if you replace dad with aunt it would make sense (implying their parents are siblings)

The Stoke goalkeeper was brilliant that day

I said earlier in the thread - if we get through, and accept that we won't win this, we could do a PL stunt and field our U23s. Can you imagine how indignant the Leicester fans would be, and we could claim they didn't beat our 'proper' team ! Bapaga might bang a hat trick and knock them out (win/win!)

My only concern with this fixture if we beat Birmingham is the trouble il be honest.

We haven't played each other for a good few years and I can't imagine it will attract the nicest of either clubs supporters...looking to make a point.

It's going to be absolute mayhem... Sadly

At HR a certain Leicester supporting family member stood up when Heskey scored. The reaction around us was surprisingly tolerant...

Both sets of fans seem extremely excited about this draw on social media, and yet we claim not to care about each other anymore... Lol

My folks still live near Hinckley & I’m often over there, leicester despise us and all this talk about them not caring is just designed to make out they are now too big to bother. But they’re not.

If it’s them then we may well not do much on the pitch, but it will be good to remind them what proper vocal support is, that’s something they hate being reminded about (because it’s true), they ain’t loud.

This is why this 72 year old won’t be going if we beat Brum. Fking morons .Also don’t get this animosity towards Madders. The best player we have produced in a generation and. Cally lad too . I’m immensely proud him him not that it’s got anything to do with me .

Where's the animosity to Madders? His twitter feed is full of fawning City fans. Quite right that we are proud of him. Tbh, whether a handful give him a bit of stick on the night would probably be the least of our worries.

I saw some of ours making helicopter shouts at some of their fans the other week on Twitter. No need at all.
No that’s just shit.

The thing that used to grind their gears so much about us was that they saw us as an irrelevant new club- they classed themselves as a proper old fashioned, traditional club with cup final appearances & things going back to the 30s whereas we didn’t exist to them before ‘67, but then from that point we did appear, were more on their level, got bigger crowds, started eating into places like Hinckley etc, never got relegated then won the FA Cup- they saw us as interlopers and hated it. No matter what their ‘history’ was- they’d never been lower than Div 2 etc and all that stuff they used to trot out, they couldn’t get ahead of us from the late 60s all the way through to the O’Neill era when they caught up- 30 years of animosity. The number of times I’ve had a beer with them and they’ve come out with the classic “up until the 60s you were nothing”, usually followed by “yeah but now we’re better than you”- always did the trick :D I’ve never understood why we bothered with Villa when we have a club who really hate us up the road, likewise why they bothered with Forest or Derby when they have us down the road hating them just as much.
