    Callum O'Hare

Jesus wept some absolute tools on this forum, analysing his reaction to a missed penalty. O’Hare showed what a good player he is on Sunday. We’ll miss him.

Interesting take on the reality of the promised land

What are you arguing with? Premier League miles clear in the UEFA coefficient which measures performance in Europe over the past 5 years. More winners of the PL in the last decade than La Liga, Ligue une, bundesliga, and the same as Serie A (who prior to that had Juve winning 8 in a row)...

Interesting take on the reality of the promised land

Because very few English sides take it seriously when they’re involved. Plus I’m not arguing that it’s been stronger for the last 20 years but it has for the last 6-7 years. The Spanish league was undeniably better in the peak Ronaldo-Messi era. My original point was that the Premier League...

Interesting take on the reality of the promised land

I cba to argue. It’s very mainstream and accepted that the PL is a more competitive league with stronger teams than others in Europe.

Interesting take on the reality of the promised land

Historically it has been (look at Bayern, PSG, Juventus, Madrid/Barce) and mid table PL clubs far stronger than their counterparts in other leagues. Hence more competitive.

Interesting take on the reality of the promised land

But the PL can decide, and they're top dog. Why change a model that works. The PL success, in part, came from (relative to football) equity in terms of revenue splits, all sides received a similar amount of broadcast money. Whereas in Spain and Italy it was and still is disproportionately...

Interesting take on the reality of the promised land

Sums up my fear. However you hope for the unlikely, and we could create something special. Robins remains a very unique factor in our football club.

Interesting take on the reality of the promised land

There are no doubt some owners who would want that, but it would be madness for the PL to consider that. Moreover the PL hold all the cards, so why they would deviate from the status quo I don't know.

Interesting take on the reality of the promised land

Is interesting, and I do think there's a good chance it ends in misery. However, loads of PL sides now have been where we are; Palace, Brentford, Wolves, Bournemouth, Brighton, Forest, Fulham - and they've all done brilliant things (bar Forest, actually).

    Gary Lineker

What a weird thread, don't know anyone who wouldn't turn over at that point.

    24/25 changes?

Gyokeres surely on his way. We have to use part of that money to strengthen as it feels like we'll have a really good shot at going up. I'm expecting about 5 or 6 to come in. 3 freebies and 2-3 we pay for. Tavares recent sub appearances have made me think that depth out wide could really...

    Ellis Simms

Looks the part. I think he’ll go through barren, low-confidence spells, but we all know what he’s capable of now, and he’s got so much scope to improve. Exciting one, wouldn’t be shocked to see some serious interest in him this summer.

    Next Season

Wouldn’t want to sell, but equally if we get good money it’ll surely happen. I don’t think Sheaf would kick off to leave, but if there’s a club who look like viable candidates to stay in the PL, then I think he’ll want to go. A lot probably depends on whether we get the players in that give us...

    VAR needs an overhaul

Going to happen isn’t it? Wenger pushing for it. Basically looking for daylight between the attacker and defender for it to be considered offside. So potential that if we played yesterday’s games with the rules for next season, we’d have won...
