I like them. Definitely good enough for an easy runner - stable and comfortable. Had no issues. I'd say they are likely to last longer than SLs/Bostons. Superblasts are supposed to be superb, but pricier.

I have the Boston 13s. I rotate between SLs and Boston for interval/tempo sessions and then use Asics Novablasts as my easy runner. Agree the Bostons are firmer and more stable than the SLs.

I don't usually run on gravel, predominantly road running. I'd say the Evo SL would not do well on gravel.

Last week was 7hrs (90km), i'd say 4 and half hrs per week is average for me. Ideally I'd be hitting 100km per week if time allowed! Whilst training for a marathon is definitely difficult and requires time, I still think there is a relative aspect to it depending on your current running...

    Stadium update

From a quick Google search, in August 2019 Grosvenor casino signed a new 10 year lease to remain at the Arena. No idea on how that agreement works in terms of if it is just rental income (fixed or variable), or if there is some sort of revenue share arrangement too.

Got my charity place confirmed for the London marathon 2026, so continuing with/picking up the training. I’ve been averaging 55-60km weeks over the last 3 months (some higher or lower depending on work and life commitments). Trying to pick it up to be consistently above 70km now, preferably...

    Our Finances

Boring accountant incoming - one thing to add on top of this 'quoted' £25k figure is employer national insurance (15% from Apr-25, 13.8% before) and employer pension costs (i'd assume minimum 3%, could be higher). The £25k salary per week becomes a £29.5k cost to the club per week using the 15%...

Anyone got any idea of best places to park near the ground?

Yeah, you may well be correct in that there is a deferred element of the consideration due from the acquirer (I.e the club) which has then been secured against the acquired asset (the arena) by the seller. It’s worth adding that this deferred consideration maybe contingent in nature (I.e it...

Unsure as to why the new class of shares were issued in Covcityco Limited. Your theory could well be correct. The shares were issued in May-25 (22/05/25) and so will be relevant for the FY25 accounts. Therefore we should be able to find out from the FY25 accounts of Coventry City Football Club...

The lease has not directly transferred to my understanding - Coventry Arena Propco Limited remain the proprietor of the lease according to the latest charge filed on Companies House. This would also make sense based on the below. My working assumption is that Covcityco Limited (or its...

A charge has been filed this morning on Companies House between Coventry Arena Propco Limited and FRS Estates Limited dated 23 August 2025. Coventry Arena Propco was purchased by Covcityco Limited on 23rd Aug, with Doug King as the sole director. This company is set up to manage the lease of...

    Stadium update

Been doing a bit of digging through frasers plc annual accounts. In the 2023 accounts, which run to Apr-23, the following is disclosed in relation to the ‘Coventry Arena’ (a reminder that this was acquired on 17 Nov 2022 for £15.8m with additional transaction costs of £2.2m): For a theoretical...
