Despite being in the seated area for our fans, there was a bit of a surge behind me when the 3rd went in. I punched the air in celebration, but a shove in the back meant I accidentally gave one of our fans an uppercut to the jaw! Luckily for me he had a sense of humour...
Wright isn't the problem: Simms is. He has all the attributes but often puts in timid performances. Sell him, get the right man alongside Wright (!), I'm confident Wright would get 20 odd goals for us again.
Live in Exmouth, train journey to Plymouth is lovely and I find Plymouth folk friendly. Disappointed they went. Oh well, at least we don't have to listen to that dreadful 'Janners' song next season!!
Am the wrong side of 50, rarely go to games now and get over disappointing results quickly. Fundraiser for RSPB so work nearly all weekends. These days I would rather go to beautiful places / gardens than a football match, so I am a follower not a supporter now really. Just find the matchday...
Perhaps a protest is called for at Luton: our fans smuggle in as many poppadums as possible and wave them up in the air when Collins flaps and misses the ball then launch them at him like frisbees when he punches the ground in frustration when the ball is in our net yet again.
Proper tribute to...
Can't believe some stuff I have read on here... Would love to hear what Ben Wilson has to say about playing second fiddle to Collins ATM. I just think Collins is one of those keepers who is fine initially (he does make some impressive saves sometimes). But then if he makes a couple of errors...
If Eccles is fit enough, I would go 442 with him on the right and drop Sakamoto. Tatsu is really good in patches (e.g. he was v Stoke), but when he isn't, he is too peripheral
Wouldn't select Binks v this lot, asking for trouble
I would pick Simms despite him carrying an injury: we are going to need as many players who are good in the air as possible for defending set pieces etc.
I would definitely pick Sheaf ahead of Allen for this one
We were fair too nice v...
Haji Wright was amazing v Sunderland: if he can produce anything like that today, think we will win :) TBH Simms played well v Hull (received unfair criticism as usual), those 2 turn up today we should be fine despite any other frailties
Since an abject performance (and he certainly wasn't alone) away to Portsmouth, he has improved steadily and currently deserves to start ahead of Bidwell.
