    Schadenfreude

Live in Exmouth, train journey to Plymouth is lovely and I find Plymouth folk friendly. Disappointed they went. Oh well, at least we don't have to listen to that dreadful 'Janners' song next season!!

Like it! BTW, are you implying he should be part of a bomb squad in the Summer :)

Reminds me of Wile e Coyote from Road Runner cartoon - wonder which 'Acme' inventions we could use to keep him close to his line?

    For the older fans here

Am the wrong side of 50, rarely go to games now and get over disappointing results quickly. Fundraiser for RSPB so work nearly all weekends. These days I would rather go to beautiful places / gardens than a football match, so I am a follower not a supporter now really. Just find the matchday...

Perhaps a protest is called for at Luton: our fans smuggle in as many poppadums as possible and wave them up in the air when Collins flaps and misses the ball then launch them at him like frisbees when he punches the ground in frustration when the ball is in our net yet again. Proper tribute to...

Can't believe some stuff I have read on here... Would love to hear what Ben Wilson has to say about playing second fiddle to Collins ATM. I just think Collins is one of those keepers who is fine initially (he does make some impressive saves sometimes). But then if he makes a couple of errors...

If Eccles is fit enough, I would go 442 with him on the right and drop Sakamoto. Tatsu is really good in patches (e.g. he was v Stoke), but when he isn't, he is too peripheral

Wouldn't select Binks v this lot, asking for trouble I would pick Simms despite him carrying an injury: we are going to need as many players who are good in the air as possible for defending set pieces etc. I would definitely pick Sheaf ahead of Allen for this one We were fair too nice v...

Know what you mean but the 1st was dire too: where the fuck were Kitching and Lati!!?? It was Bidwell and Grimes as central defenders!

Feel a bit wrong for saying this... C'mon Sunderland!

Haji Wright was amazing v Sunderland: if he can produce anything like that today, think we will win :) TBH Simms played well v Hull (received unfair criticism as usual), those 2 turn up today we should be fine despite any other frailties

Since an abject performance (and he certainly wasn't alone) away to Portsmouth, he has improved steadily and currently deserves to start ahead of Bidwell.

Lati is a whole-hearted player, but he moves like Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz

Fair point - I am not having a go at him, just been disappointing for a while. Unfortunately, he may also hold back slightly for the very reason you mention...

Sheaf has been indifferent all season, hope I am wrong but can see him being hauled off for Allen on the hour as we will have 2 'sitting' midfielders getting in each others way. I still think we will get a result tonight though. And as others have said, our bench has been weaker than this at...

    Summer Transfer Window

We need to keep Wright (and I think we will). Sheaf is no longer a big loss to us, so long as he is replaced suitably. Right back is the interesting one: if MVE goes we probably need 2 decent right -sided defenders rather than one.

    The winner

Straight away I thought it reminded me of a goal by Fadz, but couldn't remember who it was against... I jumped up so quickly from my seat to celebrate the winner that I actually felt dizzy. Must be getting old :)

    Player ratings v Oxford

I'd have brought on Haji Wright to take it... and then subbed him again if his lack of fitness was an issue!!

Match Thread Coventry City - Preston North End FC Match Thread - Saturday 22nd Feb

For me, I think we need to pick our most resilient and physical team v Preston. What that is, don't know. I wouldn't play Sakamoto though, think he would be kicked from pillar to post.
