Not too downbeat about this game. It’s Cov City and years of experience tell me that this is the sort of game they could excel in. It feels like to me that in the previous few weeks we looked like the teams of old under pressure not to go down to yet another cup shock! Boots on the other foot...

It’s about momentum and current form and tactics isn’t it. Your glass half full stuff is admirable at times but you’re not being realistic if you can’t see we are a different outfit from the one who swept teams aside.

My Palace supporting mate didn’t rate Esse at all and indeed I think the Palace manager said he wasn’t quite Prem ready and needed to fill out a bit. Personally I think he’s done ok…I keep repeating myself but, why did we bring in 3 wingers when a striker and left back would have been better...

74% possession, I can believe it. From Block 10 we hardly saw the ball in the first half with everything being up the other end…..but then saw a lot of it second half. Quite a bit of the build up play was pretty impressive….the runs into the box and the strikers decision making was woeful though.

It has to be said as well, as ineffective as Wright was, Lampard needed to put on Simms way before he did. Although he can be almost as frustrating. We needed a striker!!!

The fans need to appreciate that team Morale will have been dented a bit by those last two defeats and that they need to get behind them , because this squad has got us to top of the league. Forget expecting a win like it’s a given, they need to get back on the ‘oss tomorrow and the support...
