He is better than Burge...so should have a run in the first team.

Exceptional no, decent yes. He was largely untested yet dealt with everything he needed to deal with. Our scale of rating a player on here is hilarious.
Have to say there were many top performances out there yesterday and we won at a canter.

Don't think we need to go wildly over the top, but there were certainly some deserved 8's and maybe one or two 9's to be had.

The attacking players excelled, defensively we done what was needed.

Martin has been brilliant since he's come back into the side and when Willis is fit it should be Johnson if anyone who is dropped.

How much of "defence done what needed to be done" was actually the defence and Vincelot in particular doing their job excellently snuffing out shrewsbury's attacks before they started because of having a robust shape?

Can defenders only have good marks when they haven't done their job As a unit and have to make last ditch tackles, goal line clearances, etc?

Exactly what I said yesterday stu. Forget juggle and gender they just dint see game like.normal.people because they hate certain players

But too many people not understanding juet how well the defensive unit and whole team are doing defensively. We completely snuffed Shrewsbury out as an attacking threat by winning all headers and most 5050s. Closing down crosses early etc

Mowbray the Messiah himself says he's happy how we defend. We don't get overrun much. It's just mistakes that cost us goals. Well yesterday there wasn't 1 mistake. Well done to the defend.excellent display

There was just that one nearly costly error I think, but that was it. Besides that we were very tight.

Talking about that one incident when Reda had the ball at his feet just outside our 6 yard box, first half. Instead of hoofing it away he tried to bring it under control and nearly had the ball taken off him.

He recovered well though and got the ball clear.

Can't see Willis getting back in the side unless injury or suspension gives him a chance.

How do we hate certain players? Neither of us said Johnson played badly we just scoffed at the 9/10 ratings he got which was absurd. He was a 6 or 7/10 which is still in my eyes a decent score. Par if you like.

And yes Stu I agree somewhat, but we hardly came under much threat did we? We were fairly dominant throughout and we didn't have to defend due to having the ball 60% of the time.

We didn't have the ball 60% of the time, in fact Shrewsbury shaded possession and yet still didn't trouble us and that is down to a solid defensive structure.

I find that hard to believe. Certainly felt as if we had full control of the game and possession.

Stu, I value your football opinion as you used to talk sense on GMK, one of the only users i actually listened too, do you really believe Reda Johnson was a fucking 9/10?

No I gave him (and the other defenders) a 7/10! For me a 7's a good score, a 6 would be a bit harsh! :)

I think I gave Armstrong a 9 and Vincelot and fortune an 8. Fleck and Murphy a 6, the rest 7!

And jugg that's fine if you disagree with me! But if I gave stokes a 9 for e.g you would not have spent sat and sun moaning about it. Everytime we play you mention negatives about reda. It's clear you hate him because others like him. It is clear!

I thought reda won everything yesterday. Was good with ball and helped make and set u0 the 3rd goal

You say 6 stu says 7 I say 9. Either way he played well and cov won

Be happy? Let's put it behind us now. We should all be buzzing

If he did alright, then he keeps his place for the next game as he has the shirt.

Would say the same if Burge was playing - is only fair unless the bloke missing out is a superstar... which neither is!
