that Tony Mowbray will turn out to be another Peter Reid. Big name and reputation but has been out the game over a year. I hope I'm wrong.

What on earth draws you to that conclusion?

Not a conclusion. Just a feeling. Hasn't managed for months, big reputation but at Cov in the 3rd division? As I say, a worry.

Ok then Tom's Dad, would swap you our Nigel for your Tony as Manager. Just wish we had someone as good as Tony Mowbray as Manager.

The worry I have for you is if he is using you as a stepping stone. If he keeps you up, his reputation is enhanced and even if he doesn't, it won't be seen as his fault

If you are ever unfortunate enough to listen to Peter Reid as a TV footy pundit on the bbc during the half time analysis it's quite obvious he hasn't got the first clue as to what he is going to say and usually ends up simply agreeing with others. Thick as pigshit.

Leicester.

Where a centuries old Richard the Third is more appealing, better looking, and smells better than most of the locals.

He's a good manager. I just think the problem is, as he said himself, he had been out of the game for some time and knew nothing about League One and had to ask other manager's and players etc. all about the league and its strengths.

It's all still a bit of a learning curve for him. If he stays I expect to see us perform so much better next season.

I really don't think he will stay though. I think he will keep us up, but the long suffering City fans will have to endure yet another blow to their hopes as he decides to depart and the merry-go-round will all kick off once again.

I would agree with LFox (feels dirty typing that bit) on that he is likely to jump ship if a better offer comes along. I think he will do a decent job but for people looking for miracles, it aint gonna happen with the team we have and the resources at his disposal.

I think TM will stay if he gets along well enough with the club. Let's face it a job is a job and there are hateful of out of work managers who just can't get back in. He will surely fancy his chances of getting promoted next season and he is at a club with great potential and he is aware of that. He can set his sights on really achieving something.

Just look at TMs CV and you realise you should have thought before you typed. Ridiculous post.

If he is that good then why has he been out of work for so long and why is he scrapping the barrel with A L1 team on the brink of relegation?

He chose to take a break from football. Would you like to show any proof on why he isn't good enough for us? He is proven at the level above where we are now. Many clubs would sign him on if available when they need a manager.

Nice job at Newcastle coming up in the summer. Hope he stays but this is Coventry, it's one letdown after another. One of the reasons there were only 8700 there on Saturday.

I haven't said that he isn't good enough for us, I said "if he is that good". We ain't 'that good' and it's just that everyone seems to be talking him up like they did with Pressley at the start of last season. I prefer to wait and see if he keeps us up before I wet my pants about him.

tbh longer than that before any decision.

As with many managers, his record's... mixed. Terrific with Hibs, good (if naive) with West Brom, dodgy with Celtic, all over the place with Middlesbrough.

We're currently in the new manager bounce period as well, so keeping us up this season doesn't automatically mean wine and roses next.
