None of that lot to be honest. If we could pinch one I would go for Shaun Derry at Notts County, has done well at skint Notts and knows the lower leagues, cleverly enlisted experienced Greg Abbott as his assistant. Also Fleetwoods Graham Alexander ticks the box as a manager with a decent future. Clubs like Burnley, Bournemouth and Middlesbrough as examples have done well by not appointing "big name" failures in the past.

Unfortunately our financial desperateness and reluctance to spend money tells me we are stuck with what we have. Sacking Pressley could cost as much as a million quid, paying him and his assistants off, hiring another plus his assistants, quiet simply sisu will not finance that.

I get the feeling people don't fully grasp where we are as a club. I personally think we'd have to be looking at L2 managers. At present we would be seen by most managers as a risky job, no money to spend and volatile owners with a poor relationship with the fans.

That said, I can't see SP going anywhere just yet, not long signed a four year deal that we can't really afford to pay off.

We still have one of the better squads in this division and at least a middle of the table budget (likely higher).

So why are we where we are? Could it be connected to the manager?

And the owners....remember their long extensive selection process, then when he did enough to deserve a new contract they gave him 4 a four year contract. Sisu are the root of all our current problems. They have failed to keep anybody a team could be built around.

NO wind up nick !!! The league does not lie !! The players can play how they want really on the pitch there just not good enough. As for Presley he can only work with what he has .

We still have one of the better squads in this division and at least a middle of the table budget (likely higher).

The problem is that although the budget probably is top 10, a lot of it has been blown on busted flushes. Tudgay and Pugh are probably on really good money for this division, for example, but even a good manager is unlikely to get anything close to "value" for them (especially Tudgay) in terms of what he can extract from them-because they're all washed up.

Luckily they're probably on one year contracts. Where the new manager will earn his salt is not only getting the best out of what we have got, but in not blowing our (no-doubt further diminished) wage budget next season-and posibly in January. I'd still make the change now to give the new man a chance to do that and evaluate what he's got and needs.

Looking at the list of possible options is hardly inspiring. I don't want any of the proven failures who are just waiting for their next stop on the managerial merry-go-round. We need to get lucky with a Robins-type, someone who can read the game and doesn't put up with less than maximum effort from the players. As long as it isn't another Scottish manager who signs and refuses to drop rubbish fellow Scots...

Sorry but this list is a waste of time as none of the above are desperate enough to come here. Do like the idea of Di Cannio decking TF although Tony Adams might just make a better job of it.:thinking about:

I doubt that SP will be fired even if we get relegated. SISU have shown no propensity to spend money except on lawyers. But any new manager will do - just give him a whip.

No, it's all those penalty decisions that went against us. If we were awarded those, we'd be challenging for promotion!

Obviously this is not a definitive list & contains no one from European Union leagues i.e.: Albania, Ukraine, Romania etc.

Firstly, apart from wanting a job in football - what sane wannabe manager would come to a basket case like Coventry City? From that list of the unemployed pick someone for an interview who has something to prove to the football world. Prove that they can drag a once Premier League side out of the mire back to something like respectability. Be careful of SiSu appointing someone being just because the guy is a past City player & hoping that will keep the fans happy for a while anyway. These players need a Manager who can get the best out a bunch of young players who lack direction & lower division "tradesmen" & not take shite from them either. Everyone, stop hoping for the appointment of the "Messiah" manager & just appoint someone to get the City to the next level. Avoid the publicity seekers & those who have a history of producing ultra boring crap for the fans to watch.

So, it's a big fat NO to Di Canio; Mowbray (too boring); McCoist & Curbishley (wouldn't relocate to the beautiful West Midlands); Davies; Blackwell; Ince; Butcher; Jewell (too long out of the game); Soljsaer (League 1 - never); Jones (we do accept a bad Police record on CV's); Laws (more boring than Mowbray).

One from Beattie, Adams; Rosler; Freedman, McAllister, McCall & Wise (just because …..).

There is my management plan for selecting a Coventry City manager for 2015 should Pressley be sacked (which he won't be unless he gets pissed & punches out the Board - Result!
