Should ensure a sellout (1 Viewer)

Not sure why beating the whipping boys of the group would ensure a sellout.
Not sure why you persist on posting this stuff on a CCFC forum either. Your team have their own fans forum site, have you not found it on the internet yet?

Try looking at the Euro table to educate yourself. They have beaten the whipping boys of the group twice, and lost to both the teams above them once. They have to play these teams again, should lose and will get knocked out at the group stages yet again. The Stoke City of Rugby, how exiting.

Moff thinks Wasps are Stoke City.

No cretin. I said similar, bur frankly worse.

You are a Wasps fan on a Coventry forum, trying to court comment, so whats your problem when people do.

Any clever Saints retorts from midtable obscurity?

Nah thought not, but lets hope for more exciting pictures of a badge. Get you!

One question why would somebody from Warwickshire crow about a team from Northampton, its a bit like that famous "I'm Yorkshire and proud wanker Boycott being an MU fan ,strange.

Not a 'fan' yet, see how it goes next Sunday. Am just hoping Jake from the Jungle doesn't ruin the experience.

If you bothered to read previous posts, I had explained born in Northampton, bred in Coventry.
Always a football fan first and foremost, one team CCFC. Also interest in Rugby and have attended both CRFC and Saints games. I would classify myself a fan of both Rugby teams, but have followed the Saints more closely in adulthood

Its only strange if you take a blinkered view.

I should point out that I genuinely respect your stance Moff. I just am pleased to see something interesting happen in the city. I accept that makes me as shallow as a Saharan puddle but too long in the tooth to get wound up about stuff

Cheers Macca, I certainly respect your view as well and I can understand why you are going.

I dont know if I wasnt a Saints/CRFC fan whether I would have gone out of interest, maybe? maybe not? but although I dont agree with all the reasons of why they are here, I dont wish them out of business etc, but perhaps hope one day they find a home closer to their original roots and fans.

I have been impressed with their PR machine which has done well for this game, and has put SISU's to shame, and only time will tell whether they made the right move. Its interesting to actually see owners who value the fans!

Apologies then.

I once thought as a kid I was glad to have moved to Coventry as I had a fantastic football team to support. How time changes things!

Same here as a kid you just go to watch your team you didn't actually care what league you were in,who the owners were you just went and had a good time then..........................

How true. I know one day this will be the case again, but I sorely suspect things will get worse before they get any better.

Hope its soon I'm 60 in February haven't got long left.

I sincerely hope you have lots and lots of time left, you are still a spring chicken! Every club needs fans like yourself who take the time to get involved.
It would also be great if SISU were gone prior to your birthday, that wouldnt be a bad present at all!

Yep, by moving the team half way up the country ?

My bad. I meant engaging with potential new fans in the local area. Their PR has done well on that front, but no I am totally with you, that what they did to their fanbase was totally wrong.

Yea, they should continue to loose money until the owner stops putting money in, just like a couple of years ago when they were hours from extinction.
It's a compromise and there is a lot of positivity from their fans.

We are not happy but it's happened and protest is futile other than giving us a feel good factor.
In fact if it continues we could find the football club being left on the sidelines and Wasps just taking the money.
Would like to see something positive from Sisu on the set up, particularly related to how staying at the Ricoh effects the business plan for the club through the Championship.
It's okay to say the model does not work but lets see the evidence for both the Ricoh agreement and the new stadium.
I'm not fighting Sisu's battles without ammunition.
