Don't worry. No one other than CCFC will ever want to use the Ricoh. They need us. That's the genius of breaking the lease you see.

Well a world class stadium I am sure hosts other teams U21 games -- I am sure that Old Trafford does it all the time.

I know Nuneaton hosts ours.

The hardball tactics will pay off in the end you will see ;)

This question was brought up at the Forum tonight.
SP said that it was a commercial deal that ACL as a business needed to do to bring in an income income like any business, and as did as City were playing in Sixfields, and he fully expected the pitch to be shit after xmas

FFS if he can see it and understand it what is your problem anything to knock the Ricoh.

Should have stayed in Northampton some of you would have been happy then and yes he even answered that question.
He said no one wanted to sign for the club while we were there, and that they expected the crowds to get even worse.

As he accepts the pitch may not be brilliant after Xmas I hope he has thought of plan b as the clowns at the back struggle to pass it to each other now on a fair pitch are we going to revert to long ball. No one did sign while we were in Northampton that's why we have players like Swanson and the like.

Overtime for groundsmen!

No Nick you mean Groundsman. When you go to the next game they use stewards to put the divots of mud back. I think WASP's etc will need to invest heavily on a team for the pitch whilst probably relaying one.

What acl only have one groundsman???? Surely it takes more than one.

Does the revenue from WBA and LCFC actually merit the possible damage to the pitch over the winter months. As 50% stakeholders you would think Wasps would be asking some serious questions about this. CCFC as minor tenants now, paying a pittance sadly have very little say in it I suppose !

Are any of the others, Wasps aside, leasing the stadium.

Would you like CCFC to be paying £1.3m to Wasps every year?

Are you saying the breaking of the lease has been good for the club? (Considering all the consequences)

It's difficult to answer. In the short term, no. Longer term, maybe.

I don't believe that CCC ever wanted to do a deal with SISU. This is based on comments from a councillor (and not one who has been mentioned in the press). You could almost say the breaking of the lease on itself is a moot point.

How about the so called road map? The talks broke down when SISU decided that they didn't want to pay what they had agreed to. And since then they did not put any offers in. But they did keep up with litigation and burn all bridges.

So when you consider this how were CCC supposed to sell anything to SISU?

I think both sides wanted to deal a deal but when people back down and/or back out then a deal becomes harder and then harder again once legals start.

A deal was agreed as we are told and "there was no appetite for a deal on both sides"

What annoys me most about the last 2-3 years is it all could of been avoided so easily.

The heads of terms didn't specify an agreed price.

Who said that???

And you believe everything that one side said sorry but don't believe a word as everything else they have said bar moving has been far from the what they have said???

From what I hear they haven't even made an offer for the Higgs half but hay ho they can always say they did and everyone else is to blame.

Some will even believe them:laugh::laugh::laugh:

They offered £5.5m in June 2012 but later revised it to around £2m. Read the court transcripts, dear.

The sad truth is that Leicester and WBA U21's have as much right to play there as we do now but having said that was this detail known to the club when we agreed the 4 year deal? If not then that is wrong from ACL's perspective as its like renting a house and the landlord renting out a room without you knowing.

I'm sure it was on here before we went back to the Ricoh so yes the club would have known.

Ah, nice to see Shmmee having a nice little WU. And completely missing the point as usual. ACL/Wasps are the owners of the football stadium and can lease the pitch out to whomever they wish to. If that damages the pitch for the main tenants then that seems to be an unfortunate consequence of all those matches.

A nice little diversionary tactic from Shmmee and "the usuals", I see. Now, if we owned the stadium I would imagine that the pitch wouldn't be leased out so much and would be in better nick. But no, we don't and never will own it, will we?

More like renting a room in the hotel, but then complaining when the hotel also rents out the same room on the days you dont want it.

More like the room is rented out so much they don't have time to clean it, so you pay good money but the bed still has dodgy stains on it and the Mini bar is empty. ;)
