Was looking at http://www.waspsnewhome.co.uk/ (as you do:() One of the statements said thus:

THE HEINEKEN CUP SEMI FINAL BETWEEN SARACENS AND NORTHAMPTON SAINTS CREATED A RECORD ATTENDANCE AT THE RICOH ARENA, WITH OVER 28,000 WATCHING THE GAME

Is this actually true? The likes of Chelsea and Crewe were more (but followed that game, so making the statement as written true) but were none of our games before that close?

We had attendances of around 27-28000 vs leeds , middlesborough and wolverhampton , most of our higher attendances seemed to be between 20-22000 , that being said im sure once they are settled in , they will lose 20000 supporters in 2-3 weeks , just like we did

Of course a cup semi final is a good example of what an average attendance could look like.

Wasn't really asking that though.

My initial thought was 'lie, what bollocks!' then I read how they'd phrased the statement... so I just wondered if we'd had any higher than that before. No doubt we *could* have done if it had been finished when we moved in:facepalm: but I was just wondering.

Segregation is key. For football away and home fans have to be separated. With rugby they just bum each other, so can be huddled together.
