60,000 sign petition for Sheff Utd not to re-sign a player, how have we got so less? (2 Viewers)

The title says it all, they get a petition together with over 60,000 signatures signed, just because they don't want to re-sign Ched Evans.

We have to date 19,231 signatures about "Without Fans There Is No Football".

Anyone else feel sick?

Not really.....Peoples emotions & concern over employing convicted rapists rightly outweigh concerns over the administration & governance of a game....

Because rape is a bigger issue than football? Just a guess.

I think the main problem with the petition is we've had so many, there has been what 4? main ones and other small ones. There is a very significant number of people who once they have signed a petition for a subject won't sign another one, mostly because they arn't fully informed on the situation and don't realise they haven't signed.

There is something very fishy about 60k signatures not to resign a player though, something dodgy going on with that petition.

Edit - sorry I should have googled before the last line of my post, ignore that I didn't realise the situation, I'm sure you easily could get 60k for that as its something non football fans would happily sign.

I'd call it Facebook. Women see that and they'll sign.

The Fix Football petition is so vague. It doesn't begin to look at the fundamental problems with football that bring hedge funds and the like to the table in the first place.

Yeah thanks, I hadn't realised it was over rape, I wrongly just assumed they just thought he was shit, hence my disbelief.

It should be noted that the complainant who was alleged to have been raped in this case stated when interviewed by the police and sunsequently maintained in Court that she could not remember anything at all, other than a very brief period in a take-away.

Say's it all about these women nowadays...

In fairness, those women probably saw him play for United on Sky Sports as well.

If he was shit then they would have got 100,000 signatures

Is that supposed to be funny?

If you want to get into the full trial of this condemned man, then inbox about it. Not every conviction is the right one, this man was Innocent., and still pleads it today. I know of a man who has had the same ordeal, she was drunk and wanting it, but had too much to remember them ever meeting when she sobered up. Say no to drink AND drugs girls, your stupidity gets men into life changing trouble.

Also I think he shouldn't come back into football, for his own safety too.

Surely it is for men to take responsibilities for there actions, not just women? I hate all of this "It's all the girls fault" bullshit - I have even had that levelled at me when I mentioned to two work colleagues (one male - no kids, one female - tow sons) that my daughter and her friends were playing with make up - at the age of 11! What's that all about.

Talking of pleas does that mean that the likes Rolf Harris is innocent - he also pleaded not guilty.

.

Just to throw in some balance - I also know someone who went all the way to trial because his ex told the Police that he had sexually assaulted their two daughters. It took 18 months to get there and the judge threw it out of court on the first day. The poor bloke wasn't allowed near his home town for that period of time. Thankfully he has been able to get on with his life (despite being a Palace fan).

I know of women that just grab your cock and start unzipping you just because they think you're a footballer in a V.I.P part of a club...

Could you PM me the name of the clubs and pinpoint exactly where the VIP areas are please.

;)

I'm sorry, but this is bullshit. What gets men into life-changing trouble with regard to rape and sexual assault is not understanding that no means no. A girl being pissed, and/or stoned, and/or wearing a short-skirt is no excuse for the kind of chickenshit wankers who struggle to understand that simple fact.

Evans was convicted, that's a matter of public record. He had his day in a court of law, and a judge and a jury convicted him. If you've got some facts at your disposal that could overturn his conviction, go to the police with them. Otherwise this looks a lot like you've got some kind of issue with women, and the actual facts are just a sideline to your problem.

Marlon King still pled his innocence with regard to sexual assualt too, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. It's the act of a coward. A man who can't accept what he does is wrong, isn't likely to change. Guess where he is now.

Because it's easy to get people to sign a petition against a rapist on the Internet.

If we're going to learn from this, can I suggest the next petition Michael does has either a picture of a cat on it that we claim Tim Fisher is mistreating, or a dying child whose last wish is to see CCFC home.

To be fair, there's plenty of instances of girls making up rape claims, and there's an entire industry around kiss and tell and footballers.

But the guy was convicted, so... Then again, as I said with King. If you want to punish them for life, make that the sentence, otherwise society has a role to play in rehabilitating offenders.
