SP's I think. Wishful thinking but maybe something is being announced and CCFC does not want the media running it before everything is 100% sorted.

Why no live blogs? Absolutely no reason whatsoever.

I think a return to the Ricoh is coming.

Simple answer..CT has dared to speak the truth and are no longer friends with SISU. So much for transparency eh SISU ?

Surely if they were blocking out the cet they wouldn't be invited at all? Isn't it just that they can't do things live but can when they come out?

People think it's more pressley leaving for Huddersfield than a Ricoh return?

Either way something is happening

If they were unhappy with the CET this is the sort of thing you could do to show that and punish the cet without producing a major incident. Could you imagine the uproar if ccfc banned the ct from press conferences?

Is it really punishing them though? It's not gagging or anything as people are making out is it? They can report it after it finishes can't they?

They can. Usual reasons for this kind of thing are as mundane as the club want the news (be it big or small) on their website first.

its a very minor punishment I completely agree, I just think being awkward and difficult to work with is the sort of thing that would happen if they were unhappy with the cet but without having anyway to properly show that without going nuclear and without cutting off their own nose to spite their face as the cet provides alot of free publicity for the club.

I have no idea what the reason is for this of course.

It's only the same as issuing a Press Release to the media but embargoing public distribution until a given time. Unusual so it may mean there is something of significance:
Evens - Pressley off to Huddersfield (or given permission to talk)
2/1 - Money released from Escrow Account to ACL
10/1 - Offer made to ACL for return
50/1 - Sisu have dropped Appeal
100/1 - Done deal on Ricoh Return

Here's what the CT blog said:

Ah, this is embarrasing. We've had a gremlin thrown into the works. The lads at Ryton have been told by the Sky Blues they aren't allowed to give you live updates today.

Not sure why but there you go. Sorry about that. Thanks for dropping by for the world's shortest live blog!
Check the website later when, hopefully, we'll bring you news about whatever happened at the conference.

I can see it now, Timmy fisher walks in and reveals plans for the new stadium but tells them all they can't say sh*t for another three months

I'm sure RFC could tell us, except it would breach the confidentiality of someone very close to him.

Surely the point of a press conference is to let the press report it?

Bit strange. The most secretive companies in the world like Apple and Nintendo allow live blogging of their massive events and product reveals.

If I was the CET I'd just get the people at Ryton to start tweeting it as it goes, why the hell not?

Decision not to allow live blog from this morning's CCFC press conference was a misunderstanding. No great conspiracy theory.
