In the spirit of Nick's scarves, is there a protest for the Cardiff game that could get everyone on board?

This is only a suggestion to see what people think -

On the basis of a protest aimed at getting coverage on Sky, knowing that Arsenal worked well because it was dead simple and 100% peaceful, and it's got to cover our problems and Cardiff's (I'm in touch with Cardiff) how about a similar format of at 35 mins releasing sky blue balloons with 'why' or 'bring us home' on them, then at a point in the second half that Cardiff could choose, hold up red cards symbolising 'a red card for owners who disregard fans and clubs' roots. People could do it inside sixfields or on the hill and the same would apply to Cardiff fans.

And in a moment of feeling absolutely weary with all this, it would be really nice not to get responses of fuck off/shut up/stop talking shit/you only want to be in the paper/there was no offer (oh yes there was and it took a huge amount of work to get it and the finance in place) or the fearless keyboard warriors encouraging other people to get on the pitch etc - just yes/no/or better ideas would be really good

No season ticket holders and were unlikely to win, will be a midwek game. I would have thought the perfect opportunity not fir protest inside but the closest we are likely to get to total boycott. I accept some will go, I disagree with it but they have bought etc but no excuse fir anyone to go to this one really

I appreciate the thought process regards getting coverage on Sky but at the end of the day there will only be about 1,000-1,500 City fans in the stadium of which I doubt the majority will join in as these supporters who clearly feel less strongly about the groundshare otherwise they wouldn't be there.

Therefore 500 fans letting go of balloons on 35 minutes will just look silly.

Anyway, perhaps this is the match the Andrea will be doing his big protest so we can all sit back and watch it unfold live in TV.

Now I know you want agree with this but if this game is on Sky surely, surely there is an argument here that would warrant a full attendance.

Peaceful protesting through the game, sit in afterwards some form of banners, t-shirts.

The game though is televised. It's unlikely that very much air time will be given to events outside the ground.

There has to be an argument that people should go in and should have a planned way of protesting.

This will get far more coverage and attention as cameras could not avoid it.

The idea this is supporting the owners will kill the concept but that ideology is ultimately self defeating.

The idea of a protest during a televised game is a good one. I personally think some #BringCityHome signs would be more than sufficient and send out a united message with all other initiatives. Perhaps that could be in conjunction with this.


PS. By the way, the 'woe is me' shit is ridiculous. Some criticism is perhaps unjustified but you have brought a lot of it on yourself by your refusal to engage properly with those you hope to represent.

That deal is obsolete. If they had a new sports franchise they would have to offer revenues for free so the same applies to us.
