Pay up the £590K in full to ACL so one bridge on the road back to the Ricoh is crossed?

We have done all we can to the FL they will do what they want and that's nothing.

Nothing else can be done. We have to accept they are useless and when we realize this we can find out other ways.

Personally I don't think there is naff all anyone can do. We can do protests and marches and new groups and anything but what will be will be. The only powers who can decide are sisu and ACL. The deal is there for to be done and it's up to them. We shouldn't have to come up with ideas and protests. It should be sorted.

Agreed. The FL said they are going to discuss it at the next board meeting in August. No decision is going to be made until then.

Made or announced?

Made I believe.

“The Football League is seeking to resolve this matter so that all parties can concentrate on the more pressing issue of getting the club back to the Coventry area within the prescribed timeframe.

“Therefore, it will be considered by the league’s board at its next meeting on August 7 and in the intervening period the club has placed the full sum of £590,000 into an escrow account pending the outcome of the board’s deliberations.”

You'd be better off campaigning for the FL to a) make a decision what's owed one way or another and b) to arrange a meeting between all parties, chaired by Judge Judy.

No they should just make a statement to confirm what is owed. Your obsession that ACL get money not owed is disturbing.

Your view that Sisu should be defended at all times, that only people who share your views are fans, your hatred of anything to do with Coventry, should be a supporter of a team with Coventry in its name now that is disturbing.

How much do you think SISU should pay ACL?

They should pay what is owed. It's utterly absurd to know what the agreement is. Almost certainly the £590,000 will be paid our but of the league decide some if this goes to mcginnity and Robinson I fail to see any counter argument. To suggest ACL is paid twice - if this is determined - would be utterly farcical.

To claim their contribution is nothing to do with the rent is nonsense. This would mean if the club were paying rent the money would still be owed.

And what about your Obsession and complete hatred for CCC and ACL?

Now I hate SISU that is no secret but I don't hide it, you on the other hand?

They stopped his meals on wheels service when they read on here that he still works and earns more than the Prime Minister.

i really think the amount is paid if the open letter is true :-

as well as acknowledging 'the club has placed the full sum of £590,000 into an escrow account pending the outcome' of the Football League board’s deliberations.

or am i misreading that?

It isn't paid as SISU won't let the money be released. They are holding off any payment to ACL for as long as they can. Even SISU had to admit that their plan was to distress ACL. Their point for the JR appeal is that the judgement was made on morals and not the law.

Would anyone be surprised if SISU put in an appeal if the FL say that the payment due is still 590k?

Acl have said that no talks will take place until sisu pay the £590k in accordance with the terms on them receiving the golden share.

The fact that you don't want sisu to pay this amount suggests you are putting your hatred of acl ahead of whats best for ccfc.

My "obsession" is with the club getting home and this is a bridge that needs crossing. Your obsession with wanting ACL to go bust regardless of what effect it has on the club is disturbing to say the least.

I'm struggling to see what the difficulty is. The FL have said that SISU have paid the full amount into the ESCROW. So it's been ringfenced and no-one can get hold of it until FL say so.

The club only thing the club can do now is drop the legal action... which they should do as a matter of urgency. Once that is done I see no reason for ACL not to be ready to open talks.

ACL will get their money... it's now at the FL discretion how much, which seeing as it was them that inserted the caveat into the deal makes sense.

You are right. There's no difficulty. We will see how serious SISU are on if they drop the litigation or not.
