Below is a snippet from Andy Turner's article in the CT.

I must admit I prefer the way SP is operating at this moment in time, yes we haven't signed any players yet and obviously everyone would have preferred to of seen one or two in the building to be assured that we can fund new recruits, but the Gaffer sounds confident and he has my backing 100%!

“It’s not a question of getting players in the building it’s getting the right ones. Our supporters can rest assured that we’re working tirelessly to make things happen and I’m confident that we’ll have the squad I want come the start of the season.”

Sorry robo but i do not believe a word that he says at the moment, a club with no home no income from the fans, he will be on a shoe string budget getting what he can for nothing and all the players that are left after the quality players have been brought by other clubs.:(

Playing Devils advocate. What he probably means is that he's confident he'll have the squad he wants at the start of the season given the restraints he's working under.

He had a lot of players on trial last season & many of them were misfires.

IMHO, Presselys recruitment record is pretty weak, I'd hope he can learn ways he can improve it.

Working tirelessly ?

He is off this week and ha already said they haven't approached anyone yet.

Don't get me wrong, he deserves time off, but "working tirelessly" ?. Weren't they doing that in Jan as well when Clarke left. How tirelessly do you have to work to contact Aaron Martin, have a meeting with him and offer him a deal. We don't do any of that despite being on pressleys radar and were beaten to it by Yeovil.

Don't think he does himself any favour with those comments.

Best players going or gone .players signing for the likes of yeovil instead of us. bring in cheap replacements means one thing to me .relegation to league 2

I have no problem with him taking a holiday. He could still be ploughing through reports and watching footage of players.

The reality is he can't buy anyone at the moment, SISU have been focused on the JR.

An excellent strategy if you want to end up with a nervous breakdown...

Unfortuneatley that squad could be with another team - he must be getting really p***ed off with the whole bloody thing.
