kcic is getting more questions about the Judicial Review (JR) so here goes

Analysis by the Sky blue Trust at www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/sport-opinion/fans-zone-judicial-review-well-7059156 says the JR may well be a tipping point and:

  • if the judicial review goes in Sisu’s favour, could subsequent lawsuits for damages see the council reach a tipping point and cut their losses and hand over the Ricoh keys to Sisu?
or

  • if the judicial review goes against sisu might they decide there is no way they will ever get the Ricoh Arena, say enough is enough, stop pouring money into this failed venture, cut their losses and walk away, possibly putting the club into administration?

kcic has always assumed sisu will win – they must be very confident in order to pursue it. If the JR doesn’t prove to be a game changer, kcic’s question will be ‘what on earth was all that in aid of then?!’

The JR and the www.FixFootball.co.uk ePetition for an Independent Inquiry

  • The JR might produce some new evidence but it’s only dealing with one part of the CCFC fiasco
  • The best chance of getting a full Independent Inquiry is through the ePetition
  • There’s been too much going on recently and we need to give the petition a push
  • It’s something everyone can help with – it doesn’t matter where you live or if you can only spare a few minutes

For events in Coventry, Gail – one of CCFC’s true unsung heroes and who did a huge amount of work to get the petition off the ground – is looking for people who could help specifically in Coventry. If you could help out at all in Coventry please email Gail at

For London area City fans, would anyone be up for an ePetition leafleting session at the Football League London office, Friday 6 June, 5pm onwards and no doubt followed by a pint! It would help raise the ePetition profile and numbers, remind the FL we’re not giving up and maybe get a bit of pre World Cup media attention. RSVP to

TF said last week the JR is not about getting damages. If they win they think the loan may need to go back to the council.

Which doesn't seem to me to do much to get us back to playing in Coventry.

He never said this but my guess is. SISU hope the loan goes back to the council.

Then there is more pressure on ACL when SISU try and negotiate again.

That's just my take.

All he said was the JR is not about damages that is a misconception. The biggest remedy that can happen is the loan goes back to CCFC if SISU win.

My own gut feeling is even if SISU win I am not sure the judge will sanction any remedy

It isn't about getting damages because what can they get damages for? It was SISU's choice to leave the Ricoh. It was SISU's choice not to bring our club back. It could be proved through the FL that they could have brought our club home for less rent than they were paying at Northampton. They would have financially been much better off doing so. Not trusting someone isn't a reason to sue.

The one thing it has done is get them to talk to us to try and get our backing against CCC. Even that don't seem to have worked.
