Only 9 outfield players and no GK?

I know things are going to be bad but............................

I'd have Izzy Mcleod up top with Wilson.

This problem was always going to happen from the moment sisu took us to the Cobblers. They have virtually no revenue so could not offer
Players new contracts during the season. The Players are entitled to look for the best deal possible, and unfortunately CCFC cannot compete.

Unless sisu bankroll the Club with a huge donation which seems unlikely, and still insist on playing Home games Away our future looks bleak.

Do you mean like the new contract Callum Wilson signed?

There is a clear difference between 'could not' and 'chose not'. You're implying that by having less revenue they were stopped from offering him a contract, which of course is not true.

There shouldn't be a major problem his summer since the accounts have been submitted and we won't be in an embargo. Most league one clubs shed 8-10 players each summer and most get in freebies - Doncasters promotion side only paid one transfer IIRC and that was Paynter. Attracting said players may an issue though.

Things are all roses in the camp then? Now stupot and nick have reassured me I can't wait for next season.

That's all well and good but the loans/frees you sign have got to be half decent. So far we have signed mainly shite and to be told the budget for next season is less than this does not bode well. Pressley and Waggot have both been around long enough to see a half decent player. At least Doncaster signed some decent players to allow them to push for promotion.

On a separate note, can the FL dock points from us or put us under an embargo for not showing enough progress for the new stadium?

Didn't reassure anything, was just putting out the bullshit for a change

The important bit, is not who have signed new contracts, but the ability to retain or attain players and be competitive when other clubs make offers.

We all know there are no end of players surplus to requirements, you will always fill shirts. Another matter progressing as a team.

If you look at the link by the OP, click the rumours bar. Man Utd are signing loads and loads of players....ha ha ha someone's rumour will be right!

The FL missed a trick here - they should have said there would be a review at certain points - with the risk of the GS being revoked if no evidence of progress is there.

Did they not say that there would be at the end of the season?. We only have Sisu/Otium's word that they are ok with the progress and we have only had one story from the FL about this and they were not happy with the stadium progress (or lack of) and the fact of unpaid debts which were all part of the GS being granted.

It's all a bit unclear I think. Wouldn't be surprised that if FL tried to challenge SISU this year they would use the JR as an excuse for not making enough progress. That won't wash for much longer once its over.. provided it isn't dragged out forever with appeals etc.

From the last SCG minutes...

TF - Two weeks ago there was an end of season report. The FL are supportive and appreciated the progress report and update on the new stadium. We have fulfilled our fixtures which was objective #1. We are talking constantly to the FL.

And that means what exactly? Mind you he always tells the truth, doesn't he?................... The last thing we heard from the FL was that they were asking serious questions on the progress along with the unpaid debt. Now I may have missed it and be wrong but what progress has been made exactly on the new stadium (bearing in mind if there was any progress then I am sure Sisu would be falling over themselves to get it into the public domain) because I haven't seen anything of note, if at all.

Francois Zoko, Joe Jacobson, Troy Archibald Henville, Jake Cassidy, James Wallace, Luke Freeman, Ashley Hemmings, Danny Kedwell, Ben George, all players we could realistically sign and who could bring something to the team. We cant say there arent good free players out there, so hopefully we can replace those departing

Dunno what it means, just putting out there.

Re: FL, wasn't that months ago now? I can't remember when that was.

Edit: It was March.

Biggest problem I presume we will have is our wage structure, as we know most footballers are financially motivated and I can't see us having the biggest budget by any stretch of the imagination IMO. Couple that with most of these players have also experienced the match day at Sixfields and I can see Pressley and Waggott are gonna have their work cut out improving the playing squad, not impossible but defo a big ask.

Surely can't be that hard to find a better centre half though.
