Well Micky's back In town .......but not quite .

Always had a lot of time for the guy,and he's working his way back up ,yet seems reluctant to sign an extension with his current club ,Owner issues or better prospects beckoning ?
Anyhow as the man who took us through the HR-RICOH transition as a Player and manager It would have been nice to have given him a warm welcome .
But alas.

I think a lot of fans wouldn't have - a lot turned against him. I thought he was ok and a lot better than the next 4 that succeeded him.

Yes I have read it know where he comes from.

I see Mr Marston has replied same old sane view from him?

"Micky would have liked to have played coventry city in coventry" said Micky Adams

Yep and he has gone on record saying moving to the Ricoh under council ownership was a complete disaster for the club.

I don't believe any of this would be happening now had we got "Wise" no pun intended, a few months earlier ,what a Talisman.

ah, a council comment, how refreshing !

Well you quoted him - I was informing you that like mark Robbins he puts the blame at the councils door. They both worked at the club so I guess we both have to now to their superior knowledge - agreed.

A strange, but quintessentially myopic choice of representing his stance there Grendel. What about his quote, when speaking of the City fans cheated of seeing their team in Coventry:

"But I still find it an absolute nonsense that they are having to choose whether they want to go to Northampton or not because there is a ready-made stadium there (The Ricoh Arena) that they should be in and everybody in Coventry should have the choice to see them play there with a good side.”

Urhm. Ooh. Look up...

So are you denying the quote he made that the club shouldn't have left Highfield road and ended up having to rent from the council? Do I have to look it up?

and your ignoring the one he said about the fact we should be playing at the Ricoh ?

He's seen more 'home' games than most fans this season, the amount of times he's attended Sixfields

And he doesn't think much to the place, speaking to Port Vale's official website, Adams said: “I have been on record in saying that Coventry City shouldn’t be playing at Northampton. The fans have made their feelings known by staying away. It will be a bit of a strange atmosphere and it will be strange playing Coventry there. I would really have loved to have gone to the Ricoh, I had some good memories there."

He stated we shouldn't have left Highfield Road. I'll tell you that too if you want. But he's not as anti-Ricoh as you insinuate. Or as anti-Ricoh as you for that matter

The one above? He's ignoring everyone now, as he's been exposed as court jester extraordinaire yet again

Again I ask do i need to dig the quote out?

You've already made an ass of yourself once today claiming the 40 year lease is effectively worthless - which of course I agree with.

Interestingly you know what port vales chairman thinks of the lease arrangement I assume?

Well, I presume you have at least one quote that fits in with your politic, otherwise you wouldn't bring him up. Doubtless I could go on a Port Vale messageboard and find people who would find owners who behave as dreadfully as ours against everything football stands for. They'd probably find people who are as accommodating as you frankly astonishing. But unlike you, I can't be arsed to look

Oh yes. I suppose our club would have been much better off if the council hadn't stepped in and built a stadium for our club to play in.

I don't think that even LS, your 'minder' would have the temerity to claim that. Yet again, you lose a debate, or are incapable of participation; so you misrepresent, lie or change tact

Micky's got a season ticket at Sixfields so he knows exactly what it's all about. Only lives 20
minutes or so away. PUSB!

I must say you seem very tetchy of late.

Has PWKH not been taking you for walks round the park?
