How come this points loss has not made us gel and given the lads a fighting survival spirit? And with less people going to Northampton surely we should be playing much better, because even more pressure is off the team (not like at the big scary Ricoh).

- Without the pts deduction we'd have 51 pts and be 8th.
- As it is, we have 41 pts and are 14th, 5 pts above the relegation places and 7 places above the relegation zone.

We knew we'd hit bad form this season such is the lack of strength in depth of a budget squad that spent most of its transfer activity periods in an embargo.

Lets just stay up this season, anyone thinking we could've made play offs had unrealistic expectations in my eyes. There was no way Pressley or anyone could've got this squad promoted considering everything surrounding the club.

Very true. All the preseason threads indicated a lower table finish and that's what we'll get.

come on. 4 off the play offs, and 14 offs 5th. (if we got our 10 back).

We have lost last 4 away.

We are not play off contenders, 10 points or not.

4 points off the play offs dickhead.

what is it with you and the language and the insults ?. What do you always need to resort to this ?

We are not 4 off play offs, we are 14. And even if we were 4, we would be chasing 1 place, as next place is 14 points off.

Yeah, we should have asked for them to take 20 points off instead of 10.

10 not even close to being enough punishment for the team for upsetting our landlords.

Whose to say we wouldn't have started as determined as we did to get the 10 points back if we started on zero. The way we have played since we were comfortable and near the playoffs suggests to me that the team relaxed. We started playing shite when Leon was still here and the team was invariably the same as it was earlier in the season. I do think there was an extra push from the players to get into positive and out of the bottom 3 at the start and wonder lately after some of the lethargic performances that if we had started on zero if we would have won as many games as we did.

We probably would have, apart from the odd season, we have history of starting strongly then fading badly.

I haven't posted on here for some time because of crass comments like this. The points deduction was only about the club putting themselves in admin and then moving themselves 34 miles away.

However much you dislike the 'council' that won't change.

My point exactly.....even without the points deduction, we are not good enough to be in the play off's.

But by the same token good enough not to be in a relegation fight (without points deduction)....

Not really worth coming back really was it?

You get points deductions for moving ground now do you?

Must be the only club in the land that has fans that actually take pleasure in points deductions.

Put the club into admin the day before ACL did, and was something that the Sky Blues Trust wanted to happen to get rid of Sisu.

Worked out well.

After our recent (since January so more than a blip) performances, do you really believe that? no such thing as too good to go down.

That wasn't what I was saying. Without the deduction we'd be 8th 4 point from play offs and pretty much safe on 51 points (only Torquay have been relegated on 51 points in the last 10 years).

If a poster can say we're not good enough for play offs even without the deduction, then by the same token this season we've amassed enough points (without deduction) to go down. Regardless of the blip/dip/abysmal form.

Way too early to tell whether it worked out well or not my friend

Sisu are the worst thing to happen to our football club in its history - taking us out of Coventry is most likely the death knell and you harp on about 10 points this and ACL that. Wake up - this is not a nightmare!!

Try using points that enhance your argument rather than changing the focus.

Neither the 'council' or SBT was involved in any discussion with the league about movement of the golden share, coming out of administration, moving the club further than 30 miles.

And the club is owned by Otium now.

Could you repeat that in English?
"Our history is going to look good in 20 years time isn't it? People will say we don't have any history! Perhaps they will only be asking, 'who were those idiots playing for us at that period?'."

That's the best I can do buddy. Was harder than I thought

So it was a great success getting rid of Sisu and replacing them with Otium then?

Would you say that that the attempted "coup" by ACL to try and force out Sisu for their more favoured owners, by instigating(though not actually completing it due to Sisu just beating them to it) administration, which resulted in the deduction of 20 points over two seasons, and us playing 35 miles away from home was a good result then?

lordsummerisle has a very good point here actually, which will no doubt go over some peoples heads.

I remember people on this board telling us that administration and the 10pts deduction would be good for us (and worth it) because it would see the end of the SISU regime.

We're now not playing in Coventry and we're 10pts off what should be our actual total. Didn't really work out as some expected it to, did it?

No doubt people will read the above and show their stupidity by saying that I'm somehow sticking up for SISU by what I've just written.

The old law of "unintended consequences" definitely came into play here.

We all know that Sisu are a particularly nasty, hard headed hedge-fund who like to get their own way(The majority rejoiced in that when they came in).

Did anybody really think that they'd just roll over and fuck off?

Lots of people on here did and like you say rejoiced in the fact we were being put into admin (unbelievably). Even acl thought they'd roll over and fuck off. How desperately wrong they were.

i would imagine if we were in a playoff fight we would be more up for the last 2 games persoanlly.

not guaranteed wins by any stretch but like last year i think alot of form has to be taken with a pinch of salt after a pts deduction.

So do you think that if we didn't have the attempted "coup", then we would be in a different position now?
