The all party committee sees leeds as the stand out example of a poorly run club! Just shows how coventry city just doesn't register in the minds of people outside the bubble of coventry city fans.

How many thousands of people listening to this programme?

If you cannot get signatures after this programme, how could you get better coverage?

Government has welcomed the progress so far. In other words, all you are going to get is that the FA is in process of getting its house in order.

Sad truth is that unless it affects teams like Man U Chelsea or Arsenal, nothing is going to happen. Certainly they aren't going to waste milliomns on yet another inquiry, when the government has stated that progress is being made!

But hey you have achieved a great success of getting in just under 3 weeks 3/4 of what the CET poll achieved in less than 5 days! Especially considering you haven't been restricted to local paper like that poll, and have had the disadvantage of having national radio TV and paper coverage.

Way to "succeed"

Sports Minister refused interview but commented that the Govt asked the Leagues to take action on ownership, and they have done just that. They look forward to working with Supporters Direct on fan engagement (or words to that effect). Woosh, completely missing the point.

@sbvet I'm pretty sure Jan did not mention the petition, so it is hardly surprising it had no effect on it, or are you just here to promote your agenda and not to comment on the R5 show?

Come on you Sky Blues, I emailed and had it read out. How about mentioning the petition?

Adrian,

Sky Blues fan here. I haven't been to Sixfields and never will. The comment made earlier suggested that stay away fans will have the biggest impact on the owners. That has not happened yet.

I support Coventry City, not football. I suppose that means I should go to sixfields then. I will not go to a city game until 'we' are back in the City.

How the League allowed this to happen is beyond me.

The people who go to Sixfields should rethink their loyalty to the cause.

Too late, they are discussing another topic for the last 15mins of the program.

So far from trying to provide helpful and constructive feedback it seems your actual main desire is to be a dick and gloat.

I think Michael has done superb with the petition, at least he's trying something. It's biggest downfall is just down to a lot of people having bigger concerns in the world than football. I would think, Energy bills, food price rises, job security etc are currently running higher on the agenda for many than the plight of a football club. The numbers signing keep rising though !

I don't think he missed the point at all, he just confirmed that the government are ignoring the issue and hoping it will go away after a bit of lip service.

Fuck me all you had to do was click a button on the CET poll.

First people said the CET poll was "flawed" now it is being used as official figures!

I think that most people look at the petition and think whats it going to achieve? I mean, does anybody have faith in the political system anymore? I fully support the actions being taken by Michael and others. We have to stay united and keep plugging away. I have to say that those going inside of that place down the road should make a protest and show their support to the campaign to get us home.

You'll get no regulation from this government anyway. It goes against everything they believe in.

We'll have to wait until at least 2015 for any movement from that end.

Yet there's a huge contrast between the current and previous minister for Culture ,Media and Sport.

We have received some fantastic feedback from the WHY? images recently. Its been 7 days since we released the first images and this week alone we have received support from as far a field as America, Australia and South East Asia. The pix and story have been featured on many football blogs and we have received support from Darren Huckerby, Noel Whelan and Stephen Froggatt as well as Andy Hopkins from The Enemy. Utilising Twitter and a paid for advertising campaign on Facebook we have been seen by nearly 800,000 people in just one week. The first part of the campaign is now done and we are now working on the second part which will feature some well known faces. We are fully aware that what we are doing will not get us back to Coventry on its own, its going to take a combined effort, so if you have supported us in any way we would like to say thank you, please keep retweeting and sharing, after all the point of the campaign is to raise awareness of the situation at CCFC to other football supporters around the world. We have to engage as many people as possible to spread the message and hopefully the more we inform the stronger our case becomes.

Can we get the Sixfield contingent to hold up WHY? placards after 35 minutes at next home game, whenever that is? What about it chaps?

R5 programme had lots of interesting debate and again universal condemnation from almost every participant on the ridiculous situation we find ourselves in. However, nothing new really uncovered.
Interesting that Portsmouth were listed as a "small, lower league club" when fan ownership discussed. I see many similarities between them and us in terms of size, tradition and terrible stewardship with serious consequences. Not that many years ago they were in the top flight and I am sure their fans think they deserve more and should by rights be at a higher level - sound familiar ?

I agree Jack, maybe my point could have been clearer. I meant the Sports Minister had completely missed the point not the presenter.

Fuck radio 5. I remember beating blackburn away 5-2 and listening to Alan greens "commentary". Took the piss out of our away kit for 90 mins and generally felt awful for the then champions. Fuck them. Cocks
