Who or what is most to blame?

Shouldn't the football league have foreseen this and as such are they not to blame?

I blame large oil corporations for such excessive lobbying against action on climate change.

But I'm not sure they fall under FA rules.

The climate changed after the dinosaurs roamed, to an ice age etc.

Don't remember seeing the T Rex driving a car or burning oil in Jurassic Park ;)

IMO it's a natural cycle

Good weather and this doesn't happen. But obviously if we were still at the Ricoh no games would be called off. So it's

SISU/THE COUNCILS/ACL'S fault.

But then again, the football league allowed the move to happen so it's

THE FOOTBALL LEAGUES fault.

But how could they foresee this unprecedented poor weather? It must be

THE WEATHER'S fault.

Go back to the top and repeat until you get bored.

Basically it's all utter bollocks.

The weather is a convenient excuse and as someone has said the winter hasn't come yet

Without getting into the blame game, the league's argument that moving to Sixfields will allow CCFC to fulfil its fixtures in accordance with the league program is starting to look laughable.

I think Sky Blue Pete was pointing out the number of games to be played at Sixfields, City have only 17 left, but 19 league games need to be played at Sixfields between now and 3rd May.
That is actually 19 in 75 days or one every 4 days. If there is no game on Tuesday then the congestion gets worse, Northampton are in an even worse hole.

I can't help feeling that some fans are "getting off" on the impending "fixture disaster".

What would be unfortunate would be a huge fixture backlog at sixfields, a pitch thats going to be a ploughed field at best and a Northampton relegation.

Absolutely right torch.

The fans were shafted by everyone and now we're struggling to fulfil the fixtures that should screw our owners and the football league. The very people who made it possible for us to play outside Coventry.

14 days in feb
31 in march
30 in April

75 days yep

I'll be honest with you. I genuinely am.
Anything that shows it up for the total shambles we are currently in is good by me.

Hate to admit it, but I feel the same. We will end up playing on a mud pitch, cramming the games in with a half knackered squad, and I should feel no glee at that ... but it yet again highlights that the decision to move was not in the best interests of the club. Regardless of contracts signed, foresight etc, City could switch (or be told to switch) so they could fulfill their fixtures. Has the added benefit to Northampton not having our boys helping cut their pitch up.

If this fixtures "disaster" is seen as bad now, it surely is a yardstick for what is to come. We're probably going to be here for 5 years. 5 bloody years! With global warming etc bla bla this will surely happen again unless the powers that be see some sense and sort it out.

And who will get first dibs on playing on a Saturday? Us or a conference side?

one thing I don't understand, is these teams that have shit pitches, I just don't understand why they don't invest in pitch management?

I know they may not have the most money, but surely as a FOOTBALL club, the pitch is the most important part of the stadium?

Unless they rely on getting results on a shit pitch they are used to and the other team are not?

Your opinion's lovely and all, but I'll stick with the consensus of the entire serious scientific community if it's OK with you.

Yes, lots of it. We have a hang over of 5-10 years but action now would see a change in the future.

Also, if you're right and I'm wrong we get nice clean air and in the long run far cheaper electricity.

If I'm right and you're wrong we all die horribly.

Sorry, this is massively off topic. Just climate change deniers and creationists hit my buttons.

How about that fixture congestion eh?

It would be a Sunderland vitriolic justice being done. It must be affecting their game as well. Maybe they will tell SISU to sling their hook.

to be honest Torch...the worse this fixture backlog gets, and the more difficult it gets with (hopefully) even worse weather...the more likely we are to be back at the Ricoh next season I think. Know what I mean?
