My mate who works in Ipswich and more pertinently he works in media has said there are reports on Moussa going to Ipswich on loan with view to permanent deal. It is apparently being reported on Twitter as well.

Can Ipswich please fuck off. You had McGoldrick. Look elsewhere.

Why would we let him go on loan ? We might as well sell him unless for some strange logic he is one for the future (if we have one)

Isn't he out of contract this summer?

Out of contract at end of season. Any deal now needs to be for ££££. A loan would result in no fee and let's face it, Moussa earns his wage week in week out. We don't need him off the wage bill

McGoaldrick is rumoured to be interesting Swansea so would imagine they will swoop if that deal happens. Pretty decent 12 months for McGoaldrick.

Moussa needs to stay put.

Wonder if this is why there will be a 4th signing... this has to be a sale no point of loan if his contract is up and the end of the season. Personally I hope he stay though.

You don't sound very confident on this Robbo ?

You never know but now seeing SP's Tweet about no one bar Barton leaving on loan has made me much better.

He is. Although there is a rule that players under a certain age are due a compensation payment, still wouldn't be a reason to let him go with a 'view to a permanent move' as there is nothing to gain.

"64.3 Subject to the provisions of this Regulation 64, any Club which makes an offer in accordance with Regulation 64.2 of re engagement to a Contract Player who is an Under 24 Player and which is in the opinion of the Board not less favourable than the Player's current contractual terms, shall be entitled to a Compensation Fee in respect of the loss of the Player's registration, should the Player sign for another Club. In order to comply with this Regulation, the annual value of the terms offered must be at least equivalent to the most favourable year's terms in the Player's previous contract. The terms offered to Players for re engagements must be as favourable overall except that a signing on fee included in the previous contract and stated to be a once only payment need not be repeated. Copies of all offers of re engagement made to Contract Players must be sent to the Secretary."

We'd need to have offered him a deal of equal or better value to his current deal for that to come into effect. Moussa also turns 25 in July so I'm unsure if the rule would even apply as long as teams hold off on signing him until August.

A loan until the end of the season, but he had agreed a deal with Ipswich by April.

Did'nt McGoldrick still have a year to run @ forest after the loan was done ,we don't need to lose Moussa's wage ,at least i don't think we do .Very Influential player for us.

Reading into some of SP's comments I'm not sure he sees Moussa as a long term solution. He has been looking for 'blistering pace' down the wings since the summer. I thought he was asking Moussa to plug a gap in early season, thankfully for us his form has been excellent and he has really contributed. However, now we have 'blistering pace', albeit on loan, I'm not sure how Moussa will fit in.

He won't dislodge Fleck or Thomas in the centre but would provide good cover.

I could have seen him in the number ten pocket but it seems we've filled that with Donnelly.

So I think he'll be on his way, and if we do replace him with permanent pace and quality down the flanks then I think it will be a trade that's just about worth it, although I haven't seen a City player protect the ball like he does for years.

He better not be ... Leon was bad enough, but I accepted that one because of his atrocious attitude and lack of commitment, but Moussa is class, works hard and has a great work ethos, so we need him if this push up the table, whether doable or not, is to even stand a chance.

With this forum a close second.

Nah people get things done on Twitter. And you can use it to turn your coffee pot on.

SBT wins out every time.
