An Unhappy Pressley ? (3 Viewers)

I can understand if he is pressed for answers about it, but why would he go out of his way to say it off his own back if it wasn't true? Doesn't that mean he is out right lying to the fans? Why would he even bring it up?.

I'm not saying Pressley is doing this, but, its hardly uncommon to lie to the fans, is it ?

Leon Clarke is backing himself to score at least 30 goals this season after taking his outstanding Coventry City tally 18 over the festive period.

The 28-year-old is likely to attract attention from a number of Championship clubs looking for a prolific striker in the current transfer window, testing the Sky Blues resolve as they aim to keep hold of him unless tempted by a ridiculous bid.

But the player insists it’s business as usual as he looks to keep his goal spree going, saying: “I try not to pay too much attention to it.

“I am just focused on doing well here and scoring goals, getting through the games and doing as well as I can.

“If someone puts a bid in and it’s an acceptable offer then it’s out of my hands.”

talk about running with an opinion! Seems we all hear or read something but we all come to a different conclusion?

For me when Pressley states we need help he was referring to the team requiring some help by bringing in one or two players and particularly replacements for our lost strike force! he went on to say they are working hard at it but can't seem to tie anyone down yet which he seemed disappointed in but never intimated he was not being backed to do so.

Opinions?

SP does need help. Last week he tried to sign a player. The player refused to sign for us as he wanted a longer contract. He managed to get an 18 month contract elsewhere. Only 18 months.......so what were SISU offering a SP target? Some have said that he might not have been a long term target. But SP has said he will only bring in players that he wants and that will improve his squad. He won't bring someone in just to make the squad bigger. So it was a target he really did want.

So why didn't he get the player? Does this show that SISU are backing him? Is it why he said he needs help? Is it why he is struggling to get anyone through the door?

Didn't sp say he saw him as a short term answer? Again sisu may well have offered him a3 week contract but sp seems to say things.

Is that the leading scorer who put in a transfer request because he wanted to leave? That leading scorer?

What do you call backing ? Selling the leading scorer ?

But he has also said that he will only bring in the right players and he don't like loans. He knows the player so why would he only want him on a very short contract if he is the right player?

We will have a better idea in the next couple of days if they are backing him or not.

Think that was my point 4 above. Really do fear the,'we will make our move in the loan window' comments

Exactly, and he had always used the loan market. We know nothing :(
