New signing as well as Lefondre (3 Viewers)

He can spot upcoming talent as well as anyone. I don't think that's debatable.

Bang on, mate. AT is one of the best scouts going. Contrast his record with Svens on signings. Have you seen just how many guys who have played for him before that Sven has signed? Like he does in every job. Lazy, lazy manager. And his only big honours, at Lazio, were the year that they were the largest spending club in the world. When I saw 10m for that lot for Leicester, I could only think that some agents are getting very rich out of this. And then I remembered the Dispatches special, and it gave me a warm fuzzy glow. Don't worry Leicester, you may go up, but you'll soon be in the crap like Birmingham and Pompey :D

Yet to watch that. Very much looking forward to it. :pimp:

From football rumours, so that means its all rubbish...

Rotherham - Rotherham admit that Le Fondre is to sign for a Championship club this week.

Coventry City have been named as one of the interested parties but more likely, Le Fondre will move to Watford or one of the Sheffield clubs

Doesn't seem like Coventry are as deep in financial trouble as many think. The board have just offered James McFadden a contract, although they have asked him to reduce his wages to 10k a week. The sky blues are also after another midfielder to replace a few injured players. Giles Barnes is an option, but they are more likely to loan Jake Livermore.

Please please just one of these 3 to sign soon! I need something to pick me out of this gloom, this name dropping won't help if they don't happen.

Sheridan has already joined St. Johnstone on loan from CSKA Sofia (not Moscow), so he can't be a target. Zavon Hines was shocking when we had him on loan a few seasons back, so I hope to God it isn't him. He hasn't been linked, so it's unlikely. Between McDonald and ALF, it's a tough shout. Ultimately, they are both good enough for League One, but the Championship is another matter. I think ALF has marginally more potential to step up.

Surprised by the number of people believing this rumour, sounds a bit far fetched to me? Has this all come from one guy posting it on a few different forums?

Someone on here should know somebody with something to do with them other sites. Check my email addy. Check my location. I am a couple of hundred miles from Cov. It is only serious interest at the moment. McFadden needs to accept less money first.

I don't know what you boys are getting so excited about, we have no chance of signing Le fondre or McFadden! This is sisu we are talking about.

They wanted to keep King. Thought they had king. He was going to get about 10k a week. Only offering McFadden the same money as King was going to get. We have waited until the start of the season and he still has not signed for anyone. This makes him available for lower bids. Does he take 10k a week now or hope another team comes in for him during the season when most players are reaching match fitness, and also offer more money to make up for what he would have missed out on by not signing? He also knows he is younger than King, and he went to another team after one season for reportedly more than twice the money to another team.

The better we are doing the more sellable we are. If we went down they would lose a lot of money. They know King kept us up last season with his goals and effort.

The russians are set to invest with SISU into the club by saturday?

Challenge accepted: "Just heard from my source that SISU will turn down Hoffman as they've got Russian investors lined up to put big money in immediately.

Deal done by Saturday, watch the director's box..."

Let's see if it goes on.

Also, if we're doing dream lineups:

Murphy
Keogh Cranie Turner Hussey
Clingan
Bigirimana/Thomas (in rotation) Deegan
McFadden
Juke ALF

S: Dunn, Wood, McSheffrey, Bell, Eastwood

Oh dear...thought I was on GMK when I read this lot!

IF McFadden was at all a target and IF we had 10k to give in wages each week then I would seriously doubt Thorn's ability.

The most likely player coming to us is LeFondre. Even he will be a risk as we have seen so many like Morrell, Eastwood etc all been dead weight.

Frankly a good coach will check out just how well the Juke, O'Donovan and co perform before making such a huge decision on our financially strapped position. O'Donavon has done well so far and I want to see him play and this Birgriami kid looks really good. Just don't accept we are that bad - yet. And if we are McFadden alone is not going to solve our problems!

Mcfadden prefers to be a big fish in a smal pond, and at the moment we are a puddle. He scores goals for fun and could help the younger players who need a leader. I'd be well pleased if we brought him in

If we sign two players this week I will eat my hat.

I don't have a hat, but I will go out and buy a hat just so I can eat it.
