That's for sisu to decide.

At present the Ricoh isn't for sale, if a good enough offer comes in it is, perfectly simple.

Just like ccfc isn't for sale, however if a rich Arab put in a good offer then im sure sisu would sell.

That's bollocks!!

The Council need to clarify whether they are to sell the Freehold or anything else.

Then the Club need to provide an independent evaluation to determine the best price for what they're bidding for.

The Council/ACL could then do the same to ensure there are fair negotiations.

A mediator is brought and the two prices are discussed and a fair price is determined between both evaluations.

If everyone agrees then we have a deal. With Ann Lucas saying "Make me the best offer" without knowing what you're bidding for is idiotic!

not necessarily

selling for £6m whilst retaining a football club is probably a better deal for taxpayers than selling for £10m with no football club in the city
Even a league 1 club averaging 10000 a year has to be worth at least £10m net present value to a city
more if we were more successful

So the Ricoh is only worth 6m or 10m but a shed outside Coventry would cost 25m?

You base your argument on the freehold being worth £6m, I suspect your valuation is way too low.

The council dont NEED to do anything, that's the whole point.

Its sisu/ccfc that NEED a stadium, they should be the ones to get the ball rolling.

Why don't they make an offer and find out?

Please see my response below but I would just add if the Club don't know what is on offer then how do they know what they can bid for, AL said "The Freehold isn't for sale" in one clip played by SOC then in another one she says "Make me the best offer" it's contradictory because what is the best offer for the established sale aspect?

Like I said CCFC do need to get the ball rolling but they need clarification from AL as to what is for sale, the Council don't need to do anything, in my last quote I said "Could" but what if the Council are given a price after a valuation and deem it unfair? Would it not be plausible to get two valuations and compare?

But wouldn't the council need to know what SISUE want before any agreement could be made? SISUE have lost all trust from the council and from the vast majority of us fans. They need to sort out building up trust before anyone takes them serious again.

yes agreed. Robo it is clear. Sisu know the score. They know everything about the ricoh. They keep stalling. Why?

They could do that but then they could make a silly offer like £4M, get clarity, get an evaluation, table the offer for what's been made available. Simples.

They would know if they clarified their stance on what they're selling read my response to Hobo in which I commented AL's comments yesterday she contradicts herself to what is for sale

The council do need to be clear on this. It all sounds a little muddled at the moment. Let's get a clear concise statement saying they are prepared to sell, then get a valuation and then the ball will firmly be in Sisu's court.

Ann is on next so it will be 100% after that. Sisu and CCC both know exactly what the ricoh is worth and what is for sale. 2 major businesses of course they do.

I know Labo stuttered more than Gareth Gates but he does raise a point the same one Otis made, AL needs to come out and say X is for sale or X isn't for sale, hopefully we will get that at 8.

Some people think that JS did make an offer of around that figure in the summer for the freehold. Obviously that wasn't seen as a sensible amount.

Difference between both parties knowing king and the supporters. Al has a lot of goodwill from most fans and labo has little from most fans I would think. In view of this if al clearly states the leasehold is for sale she can push CCfc into making a decision or show CCfc owners more and more as the ones destroying our clubs future

You can't turn this on Sisu all the time, Ann Lucas has to come out and say definitively I would consider offers for X (Freehold for instance) and welcome offers of the right price, then Sisu can go out and get that valuation and the ball will be in the court to make a fair price!

That's why I quoted it James, the thing is without clarity from Ann Lucas as to what is available Sisu could just keep bidding silly sums, because they don't know what their bidding for and can't determine a fair price..

I don't know what some of you are making a meal over but its obvious !!
Sisu want the ricoh freehold with the counsel responsible for getting rid of acl. But also want to only pay about 5million.......
AL ccc have said make us an offer on the freehold and surrounding land but we will not get rid of acl...

Simple !!!!!!!

Of course they know what's for sale !
Nothing will happen until after the JR anyway.

Sounds like the Administration sale to me only with Sisu making lowball offers this time.

What if the offer in the summer was the best one JS is prepared to make? She also allegedly said that the club wouldn't come back to the Ricoh unless Sisu had the freehold. So if that's all true unless she's prepared to make concessions we will need a new stadium.

This is confusing the hell out of me.

BBC Midlands has just had a clip on the local news with Ann Lucas saying that the future of the Ricoh is without Coventry City FC.

Edited ? the clip stopped as she was starting another sentence and this was an interview after yesterday's meeting.

Robo, come on please, don't you think that Sisu/Otium known exactly what they are going to be asking for sale. All this talk of they don't know what they are asking for is naive at best.

And without knowing what SISUE want how can a value be arrived at? Do they just want the stadium part of the arena? Or do they want everything including all of the surrounding land. If they had ever said what they wanted a decision could have been made by now. But also when they have said what they want they have changed their minds once offered it. Who would have guessed that they would have turned down rent free this season then 100k the next two when they said they wanted a lower rent?

The one thing we can guarantee is that SISU's "independent valuation" will be much lower than the council's "independent valuation".

I think it needs clarifying exactly what is being valued. Does it include the hotel, casino, Jag hall and all the adjoining land and car parks?

What about the 42 years left remaining on the leasehold?
