Sisu conspiracy to blunt the protest!

Look like another mad dash to Te Emirates after work then!

The protest could be more effective, especially if anyone is in office on a Friday afternoon.

For those that don't want to drive, London > Coventry train ticket is still £7.50 for 2230 and last train at 23:30. Takes 1hr 40mins... I expect it will fill up pretty quickly.

Trains into London vary with price but you can get a London Midland train for a very reasonable amount...I will be working in London in the day so I am not bothered about getting into London as much...

London Midland takes 1hr 40 mins. 3pm Cov-Euston £6. 4pm train for £8.50. 5pm train £15, but might be tight on time especially if delayed. Virgin trains are quicker but stupid money really (£45 single).

My advice is if you planning on using the trains, book up quick before either the seats are sold or the prices rocket up. PUSB!

It's more that I imagine most (like me) will be pushed to get from Cov to Emirates after work on Friday, let alone fit in a protest beforehand. I agree though, the whole thing makes more sense if someone's in. I just wanted 4,000 Cov fans bringing London to it's knees! mwahahaha!

Horrible night to go down to London. Remember too well the four hours it took to get to Wimbledon and, by all accounts, we were quicker than most!! Groaned when I heard the draw but at least thought we'd see the Emirates by daylight this time. Aaargh!!!
At least the Emirates isn't far from the bottom end of the M1, much more accessible than Wimbledon.

It's obvious that both clubs wanted the Friday game to maximise rest for the following games. Cov play Orient on Tuesday, Arsenal play Southampton on Tuesday.

Everton have got the Merseyside Derby on the Tuesday. I really don't think the clubs had the final decision.

What has Everton V Liverpool got to do with this... i'm confused :)

What I'm trying to say is other clubs have also got to prepare for the games midweek.

I mentioned Everton because they play the BT sport tie on the Sat evening. That's why I was wondering why that game is on the Sat and ours is on the Friday. Surely if BT sport swapped it everyone would be happy. Stevenage would sell out whatever day and time they play against Everton.

Apologies if I didnt say it in my original post :)

They are not going to cancel the game if a few people email. Get real.

About as real as all the fans emailing the Football League as to moving Coventry out of Northampton.

Did people get real then? It's a long shot, better than nothing at all.

Thanks...I am with you now. I guess bottom line ITV wanted the Chelsea game (I am guessing they got first choice) and BT chose us...tbh I'd prefer Friday over Sunday, but each to their own I guess....

Not ideal being a Friday but matches these days are all over the place.
When we won at Old Trafford in the Carling Cup that was a Tuesday night so that may be a good omen ?
Even if it was a Monday morning you can bet the Sky Blue Army would turn up in their numbers !

It's fine for anyone who can book time off work and go early on the Friday but totally shit for me! Might just make kick off.... :(

Yeah I went to that, fan-tastic evening. Took a half day off to get up there and the next day to recover/ get home. Does anyone know of anywhere that has a list of places that have BTSport in London?

I am glad its a Friday but sorry for you guys who were geared up fo a good weekend etc

Why ?

I can watch it and I won't give sisu a penny, no 40% from me

Been looking on Booking.com and laterooms.com , plus trying to plan tube travel to the potential hotel.

So far it's a disaster.

Want to go as these chances don't come round very often , plus went last time and it was amazing.

Really pissed off.

Thought I had cracked it when the CCFC website put the fixtures up this afternoon and the Arsenal game was 3.00 p.m. Saturday. So I booked a few tickets cheap on the train. What a balls up friends and family text and phone that it's now on Friday night. Bull chips. Now I have to rebook or sort a minibus out . But half the crew who were going now cannot get time off or have other plans . I will be there but at a cost . PUSB
