Yeah he was always going to say that, and tbf to him undoubtedly true. Also in some respects it does indeed continue the game playing of not actually speaking to one another, so you could see the club's POV for wanting a chat face to face. I'd have thought cc'ing someone in, even in the traditional paper way, would have been more profitable, but there you go.

What I would be doing if I were ACL however, is press the football league to make clear the details of the offer communicated to them and whether they passed on all the detail, and then make that exact same offer directly to the club. Those would be the next moves I'd have thought about, expecting that very response.

Assuming there are no hidden surprises, anyway ;)

Agree - copy the offer to the FL, but why not send it direct to SISU?

Maybe they're just not talking to each other directly, like couples (married or otherwise) who split up and only talk through lawyers despite being in the same room.

Sadly I think there's a lot of truth in that - and that doesn't auger well for a happy resolution.

Indeed.

Who'd sort out all the issues if they did move back, if they can't talk direct?!?

All for bringing a third party in as evidence you actually make the offer, but you still need the offer made to the people with the ability to accept or reject it.

Then they'll never agree a reconciliation will they. The notion of offering via the football league is bizarre. Copy them by all means but you have to accept if the offer ever was made this was a weber Shadwick
Stunt aimed at favoured publicity. If you want a deal you do not go to an unrelated party. In fact if this forum is a baramoter of public opinion why didn't they just publish the deal they sent to seppella in the telegraph?

FWIW I often thought an open letter cc'ing in the Telegraph on any offer would be a sensible thing also.

I can absolutely buy a level of distrust, and the need for a third party to see what you've done... as well as.

Unfortunately, I'm talking myself out of wondering if an offer was actually an offer or not. the truth will out I suppose...

Eventually!

It doesn't matter if it was or wasn't Grendel & Japandy will deny it.
One wonders if they have an infinite capacity for self delusion.

It does matter you dickhead -- the fact is there is no evidence and unfortunately for you this isnt the Councils version of North Korea and some on here actually want some evidence. Face it if your comrades in ACL told you the world was flat you'd cancel your world cruise. Some of us are a little bit more demanding for evidence -- I wonder why?

But where is the evidence that it wasn't offered? you think you are a clever bloke in any business what goes on behind closed doors stays there till both parties want it outed so nothing new here.

As both parties have there own take on it and as the E-mails are usually confidential, then we mat never have the full picture.
And as only one side now have the decision making on our club and where we play we can only blame them.

Why do you bother arguing with him - it's like getting into an argument with the looney on the bus.

I now have him on ignore as he never posts anything but abuse, bullshit or banality - I just wish everyone else would do the same so I don't have to wade through his regurgitated shite.

Shame you aren't as demanding of evidence from SISU and their accounts system.

I think it is just easier to admit that Grendel is right. Yes CCC did not make a direct offer to Otium to have the Ricoh rent free. Case closed.
