Really surprised that Weber Shandwick haven't been shouting this from the rooftops to be honest, would make Sisu look very silly if true.

For once would welcome some statements from both ACL and Sisu on this.
agreed, massive game changer if it's true.

Les Reid is now Tweeting that he is asking for the CCC to confirm this

I'm sure our glourious Les already knew about this and is grilling them now as we speak.

Again an example of how he doesn't understand this.

An offer of rent will have come from acl, not CCC.

An interesting follow up by David Conn that reiterates his claim about the rent free offer:

"Thanks for the kind words Houch87. However, on your list of points, where you say ACL never offered a rent-free deal; they have within the last few weeks, an offer made and communicated via the Football League which was trying to see if a deal could be done. Sisu rejected that offer, to return the club to the Ricoh Arena rent-free."

If this turns out to be true can the Sixfields few please , please boycott theses sharks. If it is true what a bunch of wankers our owners truly are.

If this is true it truly mocks anyone who has given the hedge fund the benefit of the doubt and followed their shambolic exodus to Northampton.

He certainly had a damascine Conversion as he was quite scathing on Sky after one of the Administration meetings. The final one I think

Knowl on gmk reckons it was rent free but had to pay match day costs and no access to match day revenue streams

must be right then.

even without the access to match day revenue there is no way RFC can eat that many burgers to make sixfields a more attractive financial prospect.

ahh the village idiot, where have you been, I've missed you.

He's been recovering from his frontal lobotomy - painful so I've heard.

I think we need to thank Davids Conn for this important piece raising the profile of the club's plight.

I must say the twitter row is very amusing!

I also found it highly amusing how people have questioned the facts of a well respected national journalist, and would rather stick up for their bestest pal Les Reid. OH THE HILARITY!

£300,000 a year then - another bit of spin gulped in by the masses.

Presumably acl should pay sisu to allow city to play there?

I would also like to point out I am thrilled that Les Reid thinks that the JR decison was right and he believes the council should have to answer as to why they bailed ACL out. I am also thrilled that he has questioned how they are going to pay for this. Ironic.

Lets be clear that CCFC were repaid all but 308k of their net investment in the Arena project. In being so paid they deposited not only the monies spent and shown as assets but also all the associated debts into the arena project. If this had not happened then we would not be having this conversation because the club would have been liquidated in all likelyhood. Considering the distressed state of CCFC at the time they did well not to lose far more than £308k on the deal that was done 19/12/03

CCFC H Ltd had the option to purchase the site of the stadium and never exercised that option (it lapsed before 31/05/02). CCFC at no time ever owned the site. The council acquired the title to the site after the CCFC option on it failed. CCFC didnt have the money to purchase it.

Having gained the title to the site the council sold part of it to Tesco. They could only do that because they had title to it. Therefore any profit or funds from the deal belonged legitimately to CCC. Those funds were then invested in the build, together with £10m of council money and various grants etc. put the initial CCC investment at over 70m (nearly 80m when you factor in the interest received that was involved and the contribution recieved from selling rights to the casino build)

Talk that the council paid £10m are wrong or that there should be some inclusion of CCFC's contribution, the most it could have been was 308k

Talk of 4m for the site frankly looks a little silly ..........

You think it was less?

One thing is clear ACL have shifted, SISU keep stepping back and have never tabled an offer. They are driving this conflict and bleating they are the victims.

What has Seppala and Fisher done for fans and don't say fans forums. Don't say Academy because they have messed that around despite it being their lifeline...given us the most basic squad and continue to pay wages...minimum requirement or liquidate.

Pressley, players and fans are the only glimmer of light for this club.

So, Grendal, can you answer me this, at £300k for the Ricoh , would SISU be better off playing in Cov, or staying in Northampton on current rent agreement ?
