Bamford from MK Dons has been called up. Probably because of his Chelsea background.

Don't be carried away guys, yes he is a good player but we are talking about him playing with the worlds best u21's. he is playing against teams like Bradford and port vale to be fair.

thats true,a fair few times when running with the ball he loses it in his feet, hes got pace to burn but still a ways to go before hes prem level.

luckily for us i think he will keep improving with us for a year or 2.

Look, the lad has not even played a full season at this level, no doubt he is having an excellent season but he needs to have been playing a bit before imo.

Nick you are right, he is a Chelsea player on loan at MK. He's been there for a year and made 29 appearances with 14 goals. Fractional more than Wilson. But I would have thought from this season form, Wilson should be ahead of him. Can't think being a Chelsea player should have any precedence.

Regarding Wilson, i think i remember him coming on as a sub a few years ago at the Ricoh in the cup was it against Hartlepool and he looked quite skillful then. But i don't remember him being a tall lad at all?

Does anyone know since then until the end of last season how often he was fit how often when was injured and what the injuries were, when he was out of loan etc

He was loaned out to Kettering and Tamworth in the last couple of seasons.

Had some injuries, not clear what in this article: http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sp...ews/coventry-citys-callum-wilson-puts-2822857

Edit: Wiki says he fractured his foot playing for Tamworth end of 2011.

No no no.

Don't pick Wilson for U21s. Don't talk him up. Don't talk about him at all. Who is this Callum Wilson guy?

Just for once I want to see one of our kids develop with us instead of going off to rot in the Prem reserves.

Yea, lets all make a big push for Southgate to put him in the U21 squad and give him a game! That way, when a premiership team look at the possibility of bidding 2m for him then it will look like an absolute snip for them!

Then when he leaves you can all blame SISU for the lack of vision of keeping an England under 21 in league 1.
