I think yesterdays rather pathetic demonstration outside the council house backed by LR & the subsequent statements/interviews by Ann Lucas & PKWH have turned the spotlight firmly back on the real enemy SISU.

p.s. I'm getting very tired of Les Reid. He should stick to reporting the news rather than trying to influence it.

I was thinking about the local news and if their lawyers have sent things to a member of this forum then it's not beyond the realms of possibility that they've also sent something to the Coventry Telegraph or Trinity Mirror saying be careful what you write. That might go some way to explaining the odd coverage that the situation been getting and the deleted comments.

It highlights the fact that individuals in this mess only see things from their side of the fence. The old saying goes "The grass isn't greener on the other side of the fence its just a different shade of green". People will only report what they want the general public to know, I am not saying Les Reid is misleading any one in his articles but know one out their has filed an independent perspective from a removed position. Each side manipulates the press from their side of the argument in the hope of getting the support of the public in general.
I went off Les after his attempt to interview Joy Sepalla, it was a wishy washy attempt at journalism and he never actually asked any searching questions. This may have been down to him being told he could only ask certain questions, if this was the case he should have told his readership this to enable us to make our own conclusions. The only outcome any of us can conclude is in the statement's he did report from sepalla, " I don't negotiate" and "we will never return under a rental agreement" and she has said she won't speak to the council. Those statements if correct prove how entrenched Sisu are and show all of us that unless they get what they want at their price nothing is going to change. NOPM

Yep, although I don't necessarily agree with it I don't think we want to go down the road of calling any protest, be it against Cov CC or ACL or SISU, pathetic. People are entitled to stick up for their opinions.

The freehold is held by the council and should remain so all be it would look at the length of the lease to make it a viable proposition. ACL on the other hand really do need to sell their business to a group that knows how to run these types of venues to extract a maximum value, so i would put ACL up for sale on the open market that would test every man and his dog out to make commitment. If SISU make the biggest bid then so be it (I doubt that very much) Preston Haskell the billionth could then but it! Whoops no he will not because he will only buy the Stadium as long as it has a football club as he knows the stadium without a resident footbal team is worth anywhere near what the ACL/CCC value it at.

And the blog is a good read, and I agree with most of the points in it, fwiw. But I'm a bit tired of all this scab/pathetic/muppet shite to be honest, and I think it deserves challenge when it pops up.

Just because someone has got a different view to you (me too, for that matter) doesn't make them pathetic.

My thoughts are mine too, sorry if you don't like them.
