Just wondering what kind of midfielder Gunnarsson is? Box to Box, Play-maker etc.

:p

He's a defensive midfielder, which we played in attacking positions for the last two seasons, and on the wing.

If you play him as a defensive CM then you will have a chance of making him in to a great player. If not he will do rubbish, but he was slightly god on the wing, assists and goals.

If he could concentrate on football more than his girlfriend he'd be a much better footballer

He has been OK has potential to be a lot better, however really really needs to pull his head out of his own arse. Was a lot of interest in him 1st season but didn't really live up to the billing. Not a bad championship player though.

he is a defensive midfielder, who some how manages to need the physio on in every game even if he doesn't miss a lot of games through injury he does spend a lot of time off the pitch getting treatment. Prone to the odd stupid tackle, but generally a decent hard working player

Was a workhorse with flair first season and made a great early impact with his wholehearted approach. Ducked out of onehelluva lot of tackles last season. Bit of a "1 in 6" player now. Tries a few too many hollywood balls that lead to him giving the ball away needlessly, and his short passing is a bit scrappy. If he remembers how to tackle, he could be of use.

As a central midfielder doesn't really work in a 442-better in a diamond or 433 to be that "box to box" guy/given some feedom. Worst long throw specialist I've ever seen! Apart from that, he was pretty good-always looked a good player without actually being one.

Certainly no-way near Seyi Olofinjarawhatsisface, if thats who he's replacing?

It should also be noted that his long throw usually hits the first defender, off the pitch he is supposed to be a decent guy and gives away boots and kit to kids most matches, and is usually the last off the pitch after applauding all the fans.

I liked him but he did frustrate me most games but giving the ball away needlessly then getting booked after fouling someone when trying to get it back

Sounds and awful lot like Seyi Olofinjana. He was fantastic in the first few games for us before turning into one of the most in-consistent players i've ever seen.

Average championship player, he had the potential and maybe still has to be a top player. The problem is him and his agent think he's the finished article to which he is not believe me.
Oh and watch your hot chocolate in the stands his shootings deadly.
