Although Pax's has had a rant on another thread he is right too, we have just wiped out a 10 point deduction, playing some really exciting Football (which is the best I have seen in a while), optimism is growing within the camp and the fans and the list goes on!

Lets get back to talking Football after all we are all better at it ;)

How's everyone impressed with the first six games?
Everyone enjoying the young, vibrant and energetic side that SP has assembled?
The hopes for the season?
Can Wilson sustain the hot streak he is on currently?

Add the topic's lets keep this Footie thread going!!

Looks like Huddersfield won't be attempting any loan switch for Cyrus Christie as they are on the verge of signing a Swansea full back on loan :)

Would love to be able to go to a home game

Only seen us play once this season. Wilson could end up being a good striker. So strong and cool headed. I got excited each time he got the ball and went forward.

Think it's awesome at the moment, loving the style and the fact the youngster's have really stepped up. Would be interested to hear from Callum as to the influence that clarke is giving. Wonder if the "experienced Pro" is also benefitting from a youing head alongside him.

I think we all would :thinking about:

I think with regards to Wilson another season or two with us would be ideal for his development.

I can't comment on the footy.. not yet been to an awa game- might go to PV and MK- sadly I wont go to Sixfields- so not able to comment robustly.
That said I was very pleased to hear Callums words re wanting to play for City in the Premier league... those words raised my optimism beyond what I had felt for a very long time as a sky blue- and perhaps as unrealistic as they seem right now... hopes about all we have left isnt it?

I agree Robo, it is still early days for him and
Needs looking after....he will have a bad spell this season. But here he will get opportunities to play and develope.

Pressley could do worse than sit him down and say look at Callum Davenport a hero at the club and played 70 plus games at a young age by 2001-2004. Took a big move and hasn't played 70 games since despite moving around several clubs.

I am sure after the first game you'll be begging for more ;)

We all have dreams, re wanting to see us back in the Premier League, filling the Ricoh with a mixture of good pros and kids from our youth set up, playing the Vile and getting revenge for our last trip to Vile Park!

Wolves away is a game I'm already looking forward to. Lot of water under the bridge since 1967.

I'll take in a few at Sixfield's here and there, pretty much the same as I have always done to the Ricoh. From where I live they are about equidistant.
Can't help thinking the side are playing well without the added pressure that the Ricoh seemed to bring us?

That was more to do with him being a knobhead and also getting in with the wrong crowd.

very good key points. the problem is, once the media get a young player in a hype, its hard to keep their feet on the ground....

Yes of course... long story but it grew from a friendly jest between a colleague and I from down the M69-
Walker being the original stadium name of LCFC closely linked to :jerkit: except for a letter- and so with a suprised voice you could have said... "oh it said walker" - inference being the alternate - so the :jerkit: stadium- hope you're keeping up?

And then... bloody LCFC changed the stadium name to the King Power- TBH Whilst it was the subject of a joke between friends at the time- its a bit of a balls ache now- dont think Nick will let me change it though... never mind- sorry crap story.

It's funny Wolves away is all my Dad and Uncle are talking about! Although they misbehaved in there youth something I hope isn't furling your reasons for Molienuex Pax ;)

I think the fact we aren't playing the Ricoh might just be a blessing in disguise, all the pressure that came with it.

It's crazy I live in Devon, my sister steals my car however if I decide to go one game I can't help but stretch to any means possible to ensure I go to the next one!

We all need help!

See Robbo- and sorry to be critical- but you advocate keeping this thread on a football track.. and then throw an incendiary at the end inviting SISU V ACL comment?:thinking about:

No not at all my intention I am just saying that it benefits our younger players, as playing in a ground like the Ricoh is huge pressure especially in front of 10,000+ fans and I am just glad that are young lads are doing us proud.

Sorry peeps!

KEEP THE FAITH ONE & ALL,
Coventry City & the product of our youth system, can, if nurtured, provide a magnificent team,
be part of it,
support the team, the fact that it is Coventry,
