I understand that you wish to "support Pressley and the Lads" and that going to Sixfields was a difficult decision for you, but left me ask you this :-

What "loyalty" does a CCFC player have towards the team ? You know, as well as I do, that come a better offer they would be off like a shot !

A club is much more than it's team of players -- players come and go all the time don't they ?

So, as much as it breaks my heart as well not to go and watch CCFC play, my philosophy is one of "short term pain for long term gain" and I am not prepared to contribute a single penny to SISU and players who would not return my loyalty - players will always put themselves first - human nature.

Please re-think before you go again ?

I understand and sympathise completely - but despite matters off the pitch I'd be the first to complain if we lose all our decent players and don't buy anyone else because we don't have the money. I also don't want the club in so much debt that potential investers don't want to make an offer - so I see both sides of the argument. We're trapped in the middle of these two arguments until someone from either ACL or Sisu does the right thing. I'm not going to hold my breath on that one - but in the meantime I'm sticking with my support for the players on the pitch - you're right, history proves that they would move on given a better opportunity or that they'd be sold anyway, but I always sang 'city 'til I die' on the terrace, not 'city until I hate the owners of the club and the owners of the stadium and we have to temporarily play in Northampton' so I won't turn my back on the only ones in this whole debacle doing the right thing.

I agree with all your points completely, I just came up with a different solution to you that's all. I just don't think long term it's going to benefit us to cut off our nose to spite our face. Sisu MUST leave, Coventry MUST be in Coventry - but I fear the NOPM campaign will kill the club as much as Sisu have. Think the most positive thing so far was the big march to Broadgate - it showed support for the club, it undermined Sisu, it didn't hurt the players/management and it didn't involve fans being divided. Keep those protests up and the news can't keep ignoring it.

There isn't, you're right- but when in life can we be certain of anything? - we take a view, a balance of probability and likelihood when absolute data is denied us.

And so on balance; is it more or less likely, that a hedge fund organisation such as is SISU, is likely to be adversely affected by cashflow denial? Is it more or less likely that such a cashflow problem would force their position? Is it more or less likely that poor business performance expedites SISU withdrawl?.. infinitum

Are there any guarantees?.. No.
Are there risks, Yes- the club could cease to exist.
Is there an option- Yes(?)- support "The lads"(and SISU for they are not mutually exclusive) in the 5 years at Northampton, with a promise to come back somewhere 'near Coventry', to a stadium based on "Operation Brentford" and be forever at best a mid table Championship club.

I say there is NO option but to boycott CCFC playing 'home' games at Sixfield for the greater good-'the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few'.....spock . The time is now to make a stand.

I can't understand the need for certain posters to continue pushing this message of stay away from Northampton. People will mkake up there own decisions and will have reasons to justify that which I respect.

However personally I met a few members of the Coventry City London Supporters Club (CCLSC) on the train to Crawley for the first game of the season, they all seemed nice enough blokes and I took a card from one of the chaps about getting in touch, but then I saw the same chap on the piece, on Sky Sports News on Sunday where two fans had to be seperated because of what they felt was right regarding playing at Northampton. Since I saw this I haven't contacted the CCLSC and don't plan too, every fan has an opinion and right to their own, not everyone will agree with their decisions, but you have to respect them.

It has to be said I see the fixtures and sometimes I consider wther I should go to Northampton or not and I have so many reasons why and why not to go, it's a difficult decision for every fan and matters don't need to be made worse by heated arguements about the topic.
