Live Sky Game vs Sheffield UTD (1 Viewer)

The live game at 'home' to Sheffield United has to be targeted to stage the largest protest done by CCFC fans to date. Im all for the fpa game at the ricoh sunday but what next? after that we have ran out of ideas it seems. The game live on sky has to have some sort of protest due to guaranteed coverage. Someone or a group of people have the opportunity to become a CCFC Hero and implement themselves in CCFC folklore. Something massive has to be organised and carried through properly. Im not going to bring up the pitch invasion discussion again however i do believe that will be the most effective.

Sheffield UTD fans i know will cooperate and gladly join in any protests we conduct. I have seen many SISU out banners with sheffield utd colours used. Here we have the chance to do something special

Good idea Mustang. And while we're at it, a fund ought to be set up in the case of fans being fined. Though I doubt any would if the pitch is entered by say a thousand fans making a peaceful demonstration.
Carpy, right Sheffield involved big time.

I would imagine live TV coverage of a home game with just a handful of home fans would be a big statement in itself.

I doubt anyone would get fined but the fund is a great idea. The peaceful nature of the protest is what will make the headlines. Something im not sure has ever been done before

I agree with that CCFC GT however that will be the case throughout the season regardless. The cameras will be there this sunday and they will have covered the low attendances then. I believe we need to take the fight to SISU, that has to be the most effective way to protest? on their doorstep... The weekend of the Sheffield UTD game is an international break and there is no other football on. All eyes on CCFC

I still believe the "Empty Ground" message is the strongest.....

..BUT if you are going to encourage fans to attend on mass to protest, why not all threaten to invade the pitch for the first 5 mins.....but then suddenly ALL leave the ground.

A mass Exodus.

Everyone just turn their back & walk out.....

....then assemble on jimmys Hill for a huge City conga.....the cameras would love it & no-one gets nicked.

Innovative, great idea. Im starting to concede that a pitch invasion will not get the required numbers to really show the message. I just think taking the protest to SISU while they are live on sky is better than protesting 35 miles away.

Great idea and something has to be done, peaceful invasion, flags, banners, balloons , sky blue smoke bombs the lot, everyone in old city kits

Are you all fucking deluded? A peaceful invasion? A fucking pitch invasion is a criminal office and i personally disagree with it. I was at Crawley saturday and kids behind me were petrified.

your a cock though, you think sitting behind your computer will bring CCFC home. Taking the fight to them is the way to win. They quite clearly do not care about any protest staged in Coventry, it makes no difference. well its time to make ourselves noticed properly and physically hamper what SISU are trying to do.

Grow up you complete and utter nob'ed. Stop watching green street and get a job.

No my friend this isnt about green street. This is about showing enough pasion for your club to bring her home. Funnily enough im sat at work right now therefore your comment is invalid. Can you please describe any protest which won the desired effect by protesting 35 miles away or any protest won without something substantial happening?

Whatever happens needs to be a united front, 50 people running on the pitch during a game live on sky will be just as embarrasing as what happened on Saturday and will get us nowhere.

I like the idea of selling the place out singing our hearts out for 5 minutes and then a mass exodus, there is no way the sky sports cameras would be able to ignore that, and it will make headlines. You may even be able to convice Sheff United fans to do the same.

Its on sky also so we then fill every pub in northampton to watch the match

forget pitch invasions and anything else that may cause disruption ,what would be really strange to viewers on Sky tv would be an empty stadium but hearing thousands outside the ground chanting and singing surely the cameras and commentators would have to show and point out the reason for all the noise when no one is inside ,or instead of pitch invasions ,how about thousands outside with whistles (and earplugs) blowing them repeatedly surely the refs whistle would be drowned out

For that one match yes, however the effect it would have would outweigh the money received.

I think they would probably end up out of pocket due to the policing costs. With a full stadium of angry fans with a potentional for a mass pitch invasion live on sky it will have to be one of the most policed city matches in recent history.

Im all up for peaceful protests howver any trouble we cause the club will be fined for, therefore any money they get for one game sell out will be all paid out on fines. im starting to really like the mass exodus idea, piss up in Northampton while watching the game live

This will be seen as thuggish criminal behaviour by the authorities and press. Bringing down the good name of CCFC and possibly alienating any external support/sympathy our plight may have.

Police will be well prepared to prevent any invasion.

Its a bad idea IMO.

Far more effective would be for 15,000+ fans to attend the Legends game belting out PUSB as one.

the media would enthusiastically cover this as a contrast to a near empty Sixfields and it keeps fans in a good positive light.

Keep it peaceful and lawful.

I dont think that external sympathy is what we need anymore. Its clear to me that any sympathy hasnt achieved anything other than the league docking us 10 points instead of 25. This isnt about the football anymore. I will be at the Ricoh sunday as it is a good protest and will have the desired effect but what happens after that? what happens when fisher ignores what happens sunday? We cannot simply stop protesting and i believe the only way of doing so is taking the fight to SISU and forcing their hand into doing something.

"Mass Exodus" seems the way forward then.....

...followed by a conga up Jimmys hill & a piss up in Northants pubs....

Is this something the SB Trust could get behind.....or are we all too divided with regards NOPM etc.??

As its your idea, why don't you 'take one (football banning order) for the team'?

One game revenue will not keep SISU floating above water for very long at all, it wont even cover he court costs they have to pay for ACL now either haha. It is something never done before and will be massive. Try and keep it as quiet as we can and inform the SHEFF UTD fans they might be up for it. Sky will love it

There is nothing unlawful about a mass exodus

it shows the media, the players, other fans and more importantly SISU just how united we are.

CCFC88

I dont think it neccessarily needs to be kept quiet, it will recieve more coverage on sky if it is expected

Youd only want to keep it quiet if you were doing something unlawful

does anyone think the sheffield utd will be on board? it will be around 1:15 drive down just to exodus? then again they might want to join us on a piss up round northampton

A mass invasion would mean buying tickets and giving money to Sisu, so no. A big peaceful demonstration outside Sixfields is the way to go.

What if everyone was to take or wear a black tshirt and leave it draped over their seat when leaving? Or even an old city shirt? Leave our sky blue mark on the empty stadium on national telly

CCFC88

A Peaceful demonstration outside the stadium or anywhere else can be easily ignored by sky.

They will be showing the match live so the only way to garuntee coverage is from inside sixfields
