Gathering of loyal supporters on the hill v Bristol city (1 Viewer)

Is there a planned protest on the Hill at Northampton for the opening "home " game against BCFC. Don't want to waste time and money if it not happening PUSB

Personally I wound say unless you are one of the few planning to actual go to the game don't bother. It would be far better the Ricoh opened its doors and there was some sort of protest there.

1,000 at Sixfields and 5,000 at Ricoh would be a real statement

Wonder how many BCFC will take to Sixfields

Not sure there will be 1000 Cov fans there TBH, more like 500... best get used to it, we'll in the conference in a couple of years anyway....

I'm going and a few others at present we are playing the first home game at the Ricoh thats the way I am looking at it forever the optimist. However if we do which looks likely we will kick off in Northampton you all have to make your minds up as to what you're going to do

I am going to go to Northampton on the 11th, want to sit on Jimmy's Hill for the first game, it will be the one and only time I will go to Six-fields.

I know it will not change anything but it will make me feel better and my own personal choice. My protest will be peaceful and although I do not agree with any Coventry fans going, I am not going to abuse anyone.

Will you be taking a megaphone with you to shout 'scab' at fans going into Sixfields?

I just think it is slightly ironic that we wont travel to Northampton but we will go there to protest!! Seems a little wrong to me!!

What, both of them? It'd be easier to just tell them individually and skip the megaphone, tbf.

Because it is still uncertain what will actually happen no one can announce anything yet, but if games go ahead at Sixfields I think it is likely there will be some event in Coventry at the same time.

Hopefully at the Ricoh where the fans of CCFC can make a statement, and this time the media had bloody well better cover it properly!

this would be hilarious, thousands of fans outside on the 'hill' trying to watch the football and cheering SISU's city on!!!! come on lads get a grip!

Do it at the Ricoh, you would get ten times the amount of people and listen to the game at 'home'!!

It would get more media coverage at Sixfields (I think) as cameras will already be there for FL show - I think everyone will get behind whatever is 'decided' once tomorrow is out of the way and we (perhaps) know what the next step will be in this saga.

dont go to northampton - it defeats the stance of staying in coventry (even though your protesting) the only place to be is the ricoh doors open or not - i am going up at kick off time for a stroll around the arena, visit the memorial garden and have a read of my bricks ( if there still there)

don't agree, you would get no more that 200 people up there at Northampton, you have a chance of getting thousands at the ricoh. Having said that the trust need to get a shift on and start encouraging people either way.

Ricoh or Northampton would be good. Nice to see more people at the Ricoh than Northampton to make a point, but a good idea I think would be a slow convoy of cars from the Ricoh to Northampton clogging up the M6 catthorpe and the M1 causing havoc, showing playing in Northampton in not viable. When we get to Northampton they would have to police us costing money

Grown men in the 40-50s having a tear up......

Steveo, you seem to know a bit about them. Is that what their crew are made up of? - I half assumed it was a bunch of teenage scallies. How many of them are there -and surely, if they start turning up at the City game, they'll end up falling out with Bristol City fans too- unless they see 'Jimmy Hill' as some territorial issue and focus on that? (If many City there, there'll be a few old bill too). More info required !!!

Look we need to do what we need to do if the Ricoh open there doors then great to get everyone to meet up At the same time would be good to have more fans outside Sixfields then in. show your support and do one or the other PUSB

As for the Affray our fans are bigger then their fans :D

Shame they can't get some of the Coventry Players Association to have a game against Bristol's old boys at the Ricoh. £5 on the gate, everybody take a radio so they can listen to the City too.

I worked with a lad at Honda F1 team.He was our materials coordinator in our machine shop.Danny Mobley was his name.He was a great lad, good laugh at work. One day he didn't turn up for work one day as the police smashed his door in at 6am one morning and arrested him.He got an 18 month sentence and a banning order after being identified as a ringleader of the NAT who had an organised fight with a group if lads from Charlton around the back of Kings Cross. They hang around the Sixfields tavern and the Rover on match days.He is got to be banging on 45 or so now.
