By both sides agreeing to the terms laid out and getting CVA signed,
1) Acl win by getting £590000 up front ,longstanding tennant ,appeases other Ricoh buisinesses ie Casino ,Compass ,guaranteed revenue stream.
2)SISU win by getting better lease terms ,more attractive to sell CCFC with long lease in place at quality stadium with potential for sale of Ricoh to new owners ( even not owning the ground CCFC is still a more attractive proposition to potential owners than being stuck in Northampton or 12000 seater stadium elsewhere around Coventry) maybe start to build up some credibility that is in negative figures at the moment.
C) the fans win ,no Northampton ,maybe get it all sorted in time for transfers in current window ,no deduction of points, hopefully start to move forward and not have off pitch matters overshadowing on field ones.

By not agreeing and not signing the CVA,
1) ACL lose, by not having a headline act at the Ricoh ,I am sure they could make up the rent with concerts etc but these are much harder work than having a guaranteed income and leading tennant , they don't get £590000 upfront ,more acrimonious court action and bad press.
2) SISU lose,by loosing even more support when such a great offer is on the table, much higher losses incurred with lack of support at Northampton and building of inferior stadium to the Ricoh, CCFC much less attractive to potential buyers even if promotions gained .
3)fans lose ,travel to Northampton ,team will decline ,maybe eventually go out of buisiness .

There can be only one choice.
Sign it
Treat it as a fresh start,
Fans start to unite not divide ,
Support CCFC even under SISU ,probably sounds bad to some people but they have said all along they would sell at the right time ,making the club succesfull so they can sell is the easiest way to get new owners.

And signing it will be World War III

Or maybe it's the other way round.

Maybe both ways will end up in World War III.

Nonsense.

Seconded

I think the focus has moved dramatically to keeping Cov in Cov which is understandable but before the re- location was even thought of, the fans wanted SISU out.

Just when will they sell then? When they have made a success ?

Judging them on the last few years we are only going one way with these fuckwits in charge.

Couldn't agree more, and how anyone can say it's nonsense is beyond me!

Because the damage that has been perpetuated upon this club is irrevocable. I can understand the sentiment about fresh starts and unity but there is a world of difference between what we all want and what the controlling interests have in mind.

The big problem you have ,is ,you are not going to get what you want unless there is some success and SISU are in a position to sell ,perhaps now with a great lease deal on the table and it stated that no sale of the Ricoh would be made SISU will change their objective from trying to ruin ACL and getting the Ricoh on the cheap to building CCFC so they can make it as attractive as possible to potential buyers before exiting .
I am not saying Seppala Fischer and crew are not the devils in disguise with a complete lack of morals ,they are ,but if this deal is not accepted and the move to Northampton goes ahead all I can see is years of misery under SISU .
I am also not saying you need to change from NOPM and start wearing a SISU scarf it just seems the best and quickest way to gain new owners would be for this deal to be accepted.

CCFC at the Ricoh with a long term tenancy at a very reasonable rent, is a great package to buy and is probably at the top of SISU business cycle.
A buyer can come in for the club and ACL are more likely to sell to them.

I think Friday is going to be an interesting day. I am certain no way do sisu want Northampton but have painted themselves into a corner and after receiving these court papers although Cardoza won't admit it he doesn't want it either. IF this cva isn't signed someone somewhere has a decision to make, is it sisu, FL or Cardoza. Listened to 2 experys so called on radio one thinks ACL are now in a strong position and the other isn't convinced signing this cva is a certainty

Yep. As I keep saying, it's all guess, guess, guess.

Signing the CVA is good thing, signing the CVA is a bad thing. ACL have the upper hand, Sisu have the upper hand.

Best thing to do is to just sit back and let the whole thing play out.

I am only interested in one thing and that is CCFC playing in Coventry at the Ricoh and doing so again from this season.

Do you think the fans not sitting back but taking action - the march and Sky Blue ribbons etc - have helped focus minds a bit? Maybe the looming start of the season is the primary driving force behind the fresh impetus, but this movement has also coincided with the fans uniting and sending a clear message to everyone to KeepCovInCov... (or KeepCityInCoventry ;) )

No, sorry, that's not what I mean.

I am talking about the constant debating of who is right and who is wrong and which side has the upper hand etc. on this football forum

It's all guesswork on our part.

Of course all the marches and Keep City in Cov stuff should continue if and when the need arises.

Just talking about the endless pontification on here when it seems like even the experts themselves are divided on who has the upper hand here at the moment.

Indeed. It's hard enough trying to understand what is going on let alone judge who is ahead. It's like trying to watch football in thick fog if the game wasn't postponed. You would know there are two teams out there and occasionally you would hear a shout or the mists part briefly to show you a glimpse of the action, but it's a struggle to know which players are even on the pitch let alone who has the ball and whether it has gone into the net.

Just want to see football .... at the Ricoh!

Sisu are to blame, ACL are to blame, the council are to blame. They're all to blame.

Just sort the mess out and let's get back to supporting the team in our home city!
