Money saved by Westwood leaving... (1 Viewer)

Am I right in thinking that there was quite a hefty sell-on clause in his contract? So we haven't lost that much money by him going for free now as if we'd off-loaded him in Jan/Feb then our cut wouldn't have been that much in the end?

Just looking for silver linings and all that... :D

If I remember right, Carlisle had a 25% sell on clause inserted into his transfer. Don't 100% quote me on that though.

yep your right, but we sold him for a £1M, we would make £750K rather than nothing!!!

I'm not 100% sure on this, but my recollection was that Carlisle would take the first 750 k and then 25% of any additional money. Selling him for a mil wouldn't have given us that much, but Carlisle would have been quids in!

If that's true, you can see why he wasn't sold.

Will we save money on the letters for the replica shirts as apparently now he is going we dont need so many W's and so dont have to order any more as we can use upside down M's ;)

ccfcway, sorry to shoot you down but I am an estate agent and sold the property that Westwood has been renting. Definitely not for sale lol but im sure either way he'll be going.

must be "up for rent" then.

All I was told is that his home is on the market
