Are Sisu going to turn CCFC into Northampton Town over time? (1 Viewer)

It's been mooted by a number of people.

Think the trouble is, many of us just can't see Sisu ever building a new stadium. It's therefore the Ricoh or stay away.

Northampton is a smaller place than Cov, with existing football and rugby teams fighting for the fanbase. There is nothing about Northampton that makes it a better place to locate a club than Coventry.

However, the club haven't exactly been falling over themselves to allay these fears have they?

Sisu could take over Northampton, using their usual tactics to get around FL!
Why does every decision go Sisu's way?
They are experts at bending the rules, wouldn't mind, if CCFC end up debt free & owning own stadium! (Ricoh).

I said this early on and my worry is we will become another Wimbledon. SISU have no elegance to us as a club and this is "just another business" to them. This IMO opinion is a very real risk of things to come....think about it, the club will be out of the City, cannot for whatever reason build a stadium in the City and will have no desire to user the Ricoh.

SISU out is the answer and not a penny more etc..... I work about 8 mins from sixfields and will not be going to the home games even if they are on a week day.

SISU would have to of shown plans to the FL to return to the Coventry area within a set amount of time and this would of been throughoughly checked before being approved so we won't be NTFCII

This is the issue I think we are very worried about but don't really know the full extent of the possibility that it could happen.

I really would like to believe that is true.

It requires one to have faith in the Football League though.

It requires to have faith in both the Football League and SISU, but the rule as I know it is that SISU would have had to of shown plans that show they were to return to the Coventry Area in within a set amount of time or this move would of not been approved by the Football League. So you can read into that as SISU have plans to some extent.

What if they don't move back... what the worst can happen to them... they lose the 1 million bond... wow there be really scared.

If they don't return, I can't see the FL who lack a backbone to taking away the golden share. Do you?

If they don't move back then I am usre we will be hit with a huge penalty.

If they adhere to their own rules then they won't have a choice.

Its rather odd ,when you consider the stance the FA took oVer Hicks and his mate at Liverpool ,they tried to do something very similar.

yes exactly. They are scared they will lose a team from their competition and all the hasstle that will cause. Theyneed to call their bluff.

And do you think if they lost a team from there competition it would just affect the Football League? Everyone has been slating the Football League, but lets be honest they've kept our club alive by allowing us to groundshare with NTFC. You might see it as prolonging the ulitmate death, but had they not of approved the groundshare where would we of gone? I don't see many options except the Ricoh and that seems like a non starter...

So?

How apathetic will the fans be after 5 years of groundsharing? SISU slowly offsetting the CCFC losses using a web of offshore accounts? CCFC sitting in the conference? No youth support for a team 35 miles away? We must get this sorted now If this thing goes through we may have lost the club forever.

Nobody can have faith in the FL.
Throughout the game there is profound incredulity at what is being rubber stamped by these lightweights. Even people outside the game cannot fathom how an organisation can so blatantly ignore its own guidelines.
You can drive a coach and six through their standard reply to legitimate concerns.
Expect more legal challenges.

So?

Alive has so many different forms.

At the moment, we're the elderly relative in the assisted living facility, ekeing out a meagre existence from day to day until the organs can simply function no longer.

We might be 'alive' but this is no form of living.

Not saying you're wrong either (because you're not; it seems like our options are limited).

I will say though that I'm not sure the Football League would sit silently by if SISU failed to follow through on their relocation plans.

Failure to act would be seen as an open invitation to club owners to do whatever they want, and I don't think they really want that to happen.

Let's hope we never have to find out.

True enough.

Are options are very limited and as much as I hate to admit it, this was probably the "only" option the RA is just a strain of hope.
