Anyone know what he's up to these days??
Surely he must be feeling responsible for all this?
Took 1.3m salary in 3 years!!
Took 1.3m salary in 3 years!!
Took 1.3m salary in 3 years!!
And that makes him bad? That will be the going rate. His vision was to develop talent sell on and reinvest, SISU changed the game plan to sell and take the cash, he could take no more and left. Walked away from the big salary. I didn't like all he did but I think he was sold almost as big a pup as us. Made money out of it, but that is what football is these days in 90+% of cases, a means for people to get cash from the ordinary man.
"I wonder if he ever got payed"?
if they had followed his plan we may have been in prem now but they panicked and see where we are now
He had the right idea. Unfortunately Sisu behind him lost their nerve. Cue big fall out and him going.
That's how I see it anyway.

Ray Ranson was conned along with the rest of us. I think he truly believed SISU would follow his plan of getting us back to the premier league.
As soon as they sold Dann and Fox he realised they had no intention of backing the team financially. He ran out of trust with them and got out while he could, I don't blame him in the least.....Well said TankTop.
SISU are responsible for all of this.
1.3 million shitsu dont pay that kind money out acl can vouch for that....

That's how I see it too.
To say he and SISU agreed on everything would be to ignore the fact he and Hoffman resigned over their actions. Illogical nonsense.
The fact he made a nice little earning for himself is irrelevant when laying the blame for our demise.
Ranson is responsible for SISU being here.
To then say that that makes him responsible for all of SISU's actions - years after he left - is frankly a bit silly.
.
To say that he has had no responsibility for any of their actions in the past that have, as some predicted, led us to this point, and was some sort of innocent lamb led astray by wolves is also, frankly, a bit silly.

Many people and factors are responsible for SISU being here, but I would agree that Ranson is one of the major ones.

SISU are responsible for all of this.
Try reading the post again Lord.
I agreed that he had a major tole in getting SISU in. I'm afraid that in the real world that does not make him responsible for their every action forever.
Was he involved in the disastrous attempt at negotiating with ACL, has he been fronting discussions with Northampton etc etc ?
SiSU are responsible for all of this.
an awful lot of people seem to think that the reasons for the problems with ACL stem from not renogiating the terms when they had the chance on takeover.
Remind me again who was the Chairman?
Fisher is (rightly) demonised for lying an awful lot of the time(which is why i was shocked that it seems he was actually telling the truth about playing in another stadium).
Ranson told as many, if not more, porkies in his time that he was here, though there seems to be selectivity about what he lied about from some.
Obviously all down to Sisu Tommy, no doubt about it, but it's disingenous as many have done to let off Ranson "Scot free" .
Ranson's famous "we are debt free" comments were silly at best. I was never sure of the point of them.
Told as many porkies as Fisher - Not sure that many people in the world could claim that
Bluntly - we need to get the b@stards out!
SISU are responsible for all of this. (I just enjoy typing that now)
With the first one, I may have to dig out all of Ray's porkies, but fear it may go into many pages!
The sad thing is i don't think that we can get Sisu out, no matter what we do.
Once they're in, they're in, and will only leave when it suits them, it can't have passed anybody by that they don't exactly care what fans think.
I remember Captain Mainwaring over on GMK, think just before Sisu took over, posting about how Sisu had operated with a French firm that they took over, (including battles with the local council!), until eventual liquidation.
Can't say that French workers not particularly militant when badly done by, but to no avail.
They should never have had the foot in the door in the first place, and an awful lot of people take the blame for that.
I don't think that we can be defeatist.
We know their track record (in no small part due to your efforts), but I think that our main hope is that football clubs "are different".
Despite us now being a third division club, there is gradually a bit of media awareness starting to grow about our plight and the potential ramifications for other clubs if SISU are left unchecked. I think that there is the potential to put SISU into a position that they have never experienced before (even with French unions!). How about getting the "secretive Joy Seppala" in front of a Commons Committee? How about getting questions raised about her fitness for her role on the Takeover Panel? Given the current political climate, how about some focus on SISU's tax position?
How about we make their position as uncomfortable as possible, until they decide that the pain isn't worth it?
He had the right idea. Unfortunately Sisu behind him lost their nerve. Cue big fall out and him going.

Fully agree. I think he thought he would have much more power to run the club but as you and others have said his backers bottled it and took that power away. I also think that before that happened he was doing a good job. I await the avalanche
Ranson is responsible for SISU being here.
