Wikipedia confirms I was indeed confused-there was a Tom Wood at my school who played rugby at county level as well as the Woodlands Wood (confusing eh). Andy Goode is the well known example and Peter Whittingham now at Cardiff is the most recent Henry's export to sport.

My brother in law was at leicester city 1969 but never made the first team,as Shilton was the No.1,Ron Atkinson then signed him for Kettering,then David Pleat signed him for Nun.Boro',went to hinckley gunners where a 16 year old trevor peake played in front of him,played for cov sporting club just after their sucess.that was his winter game,He is the most successfull ever wicketkeeper in local leagues made his debut in 1966 aged 15 for the dunlop and still plays thursday league cricket for Bedworth.
