Yes, that I'm a city fan that signed up to this board recently because what I really want is snide assumptions I was employed by an investment fund.

Wish I was, I might earn more then.

I argue with you a fair bit, but I don't think you're a SISU plant. And if anyone's going to accuse people of being a SISU plant, it's usually me!

The picture appears to be that any voice not toeing the line completely is a secret SISU ninja or somehow not a real supporter. It's a very paranoid picture that helps nobody.

What if SISU did get someone to register and talk them up (which he's not actually doing, but let's ignore that vital nugget for now) - you'd just have people calling the person a dickhead and a bumlicker anyway, so there would be literally no point to it.

It does make me wonder how much more directly I can say 'I do not want SISU here' and 'SISU have failed' without those words being read as 'I love SISU and am bumming Fisher'!

If SISU buy the club they need an agreement with ACL too, so why won't ACL speak to them on that basis? In fact as the major creditors it's in SISU's interests for a deal to be done, so why wouldn't ACL extend the same courtesy to an organisation that has a vested interest in the club, that they have extended to someone who has not.

That is my point, that I don't like politics being played with my football club.

Anyway, I'll shut up now until I can listen again on iplayer:)

ACL have said they will talk with them regarding a new lease on the ground. If they don't want to sell their shares to them that is their prerogative as shareholders. SISU are not being forced to look for alternatives outside coventry it is purely out of stubbornness and contempt towards ACL.

Ha, I was worried about namechecking, but at least you seem capable of reading the words on the page;)

Some others are exactly the kind of fans who got us SISU here in the first place, shouting others down if they dared question their good business sense!

Disagree. There's obviously a reason why they would want people to be arguing their viewpoint when nobody else is. Go and watch the film The Corporation and see if you still think that guerilla tactics are fantasy...

Exactly. I'm very much in the Lord's camp when it comes to healthy cynicism! I do want SISU out, but not if it ultimately leads us right back to this situation or similar in 3-5 years time. Hopefully Elliott for one has learnt a few harsh lessons.

The words bumming and Fisher should not be allowed in the same sentence, my crunchy nut cornflakes have just reappeared

The tactics would certainly work in places, but not here. This forum is where reason comes to take a holiday.

I take it you do really understand why ACL only speak to the administrator?

Well when they say that, they obviously mean "we won't speak with SISU as representatives of CCFC as they are not in a position to represent the club-the administrator is".

Doesn't mean that they can't speak to other people about other things!

If people had actually read the point that was being quoted in context, 5 pages of pointless arguing could have been avoided!

SISU as much as I detest them would be crazy not to bid

Depends.

Contrary to what's often put here they're not stupid. Self-interested maybe, but not stupid (although sticking Dulieu and Brody in there suggests otherwise!).

Businesses like SISU will accept not all investments come off, there must be something in it for them.

I really struggle to see what, considering they've alienated so many of their customers.

Hopefully they bother to tell us at some point(!)

No, the opposite. The internet and public message boards are absolute manna from heaven for companies. They allow them a direct line with 100% anonymity. If their arguments strike home with even 5% of the people reading-and don't forget that the majority of browsers don't post-then they've got a result.

That is a very selective memory there!
Are you not forgetting all the talks that failed, the non-payment of rent and all the rest of it?
How many times would you let someone screw you before you stopped talking to them?

a) They are that stupid: selfishness + lack of expertise in sphere = stupid decisions that betray both selfishness and lack of expertise.

b) I'm thinking some kind of tax-loss adjuster that helps the rest of their portfolio. Can't see any other reason why they still want us!

The post I quoted said discussions with ACL.

You'd think ACL would offer the same discussions for SISU wouldn't you, if they were being fair? SISU are prospective owners of the club too, after all.

Joy & Tim should have thought about that before taking a stance that lost them every semblance of good will.

They painted themselves into this corner.

By counter bidding. I hazard a guess.....

They buy their own debt. Secure the golden share. Keep pretending to take their ball home whilst trying to break ACL. Then they get double bluffed and have to actually take their ball with them to Northampton. Again without doing anything significant towards building a new stadium. At which point they will get treble bluffed as the council still won't come cap in hand begging them to come back.
Then the council/ACL will find an alternative use for the Ricoh. Once they set the wheels in motion.

This will be crunch time. Either Mr Haskell will still be in the scene and will bring the club back.

Or the council are forced to go through with alternative uses of the Ricoh. If one of those uses is not a new football club.

Then Stupot will become a professional golfer.

You'd pick something a bit more anonymous than a football club for that though, wouldn't you!

See the only reason I can possibly think of is the good publicity that comes from turning around a football club makes them more determined than they would usually be to keep going, as it's a very public financial failure at present.

And public failures don't encourage investors!

Sorry the last bit they try to set a price by creating a false market by bidding even if they do want to sell.
So to not bid would be bizzare.

So what's going on? In summary?

Well I'm a SISU rent boy, am having Tim Fisher's babies, and am in a menage a trois with him and Nonleagueherewecome.

Oh, and the administrator's sent a report to creditors, will make a statement at 7:30pm, Haskell has bid for CCFC Ltd, and speculation SISU have also bid.

I'm not happy about this....I've already been metaphorically fucked in the ass by Fisher...you better be an extremely good lover to make up for it!

Ahh, well the first bit seems really off topic. But the 2nd bit sounds promising :-D

Rumours abound now that the administrator will have the option to reject both the Haskell and SISU bids and instead open a mystery box.
