What's the score with Haskell? Anybody got any ideas on this one and what's going on here? Thought he'd be on the scene by now if what we were led to believe was true! 'Nothing is but what is not' indeed!

After the initial "here our saviour" stories all has gone quiet and i knew it would. Is he for real ? who knows. Joe Elliott seemed excited enough but then he was re. sisu. I don't expect Haskell to be in our faces all the time though if he is serious

He's been quoted as saying he wants to buy us.but i think after all the previous takeover rumours i won't hold my breath. The RICOH in the right hands would be a great asset forsomeone one day, can't see it being anytime soon though.sisu are obviously looking for a way out and will want to get as much money as they can, that's the only problem that will put haskell off, if sisu ask for silly money he won't want to risk it.personally the way the club is at the minute i can't see a way out.

Buy what ?... The last I heard, all that had gone into administration was a subsidiary company with no assets

How about this one then!!
No substance other than pub talk, but things could be in utter chaos with some of the kids contracts being held with Ltd,meaning their contacts have been cancelled
PFA involved

im fully caught up with what people think might be here or there.. but we've yet to hear anything for sure from the administrator in charge .. arent we ?

Not going to even try and admit i know what's going on.don't think anybody really does.I see it the club is in administration as we have been docked 10 points and the role of the administrator is to find a suitable buyer .if no buyer is found then we face liquidation.should be interesting what the administrator has found when he has to report back to the court in May.Think we'll know more then.

wouldnt suprise me at all.. and is a perfect reason why no one will be stepping in to buy us just yet.. until it bcomes clear what is owned by whom & what exactly is / isnt for sale

my business has had companies that we deal with go into administration before, and having dealt with administrators for that.. all i can say is , they charge scandalous amounts per hour & they make sure they take their time with these things ( even when the evidence is laid out in front of them )... and even then, they have been known to get things wrong! so im honestly not holding my breath with any of this

i actually presumed that the FL deducted the 10 points because they thought the two parts of the club ( the one in admin & the one not in admin ) were so closely linked that it didnt matter to them.. but that is just their view, and if that is the reason for the points deduction then it doesnt automatically put the still trading company in administration.. so if administrators come back & agree with SISU that the company in admin didnt really have any assets, then i also presumed that would leave SISU still in charge and with all the cards ( except a lease on the stadium - which they would have to renegotiate )

so as i initially said.. as you say now, one really knows.. so maybe i dont have so much catching up to do..

This thread reminds me of people who bombarded the local radio with calls for Richardson to sell to Dinsah.

Still all he seems to like is publicity so at least his ego is being fed.

The League said this in their statement:
The Football League said:
The Football League can confirm that Coventry City Football Club have been deducted 10 points, in accordance with its rules and regulations.
This Sporting Sanction has been implemented with immediate effect. Coventry City have seven days in which to appeal.
The League has now begun discussions with the administrator aimed at achieving a sustainable future for the club within The Football League.
That last bit that I've bolded suggests to me that they think the share (and therefore the club) is still with Ltd. If they thought the share wasn't with Ltd why would they be talking about a sustainable future within the league? Although I'm guessing here and just as in the dark as to where the share actually is as everyone else, and will have to wait till May to find out what's really going on.

Haskell

Nobody in the right mind at present will be interested in negotiating anything with either SISU or the administrator till the full story of where the actual club stands presently which will all be revealed by the court in the middle of May
Depending on what the investigators find will then be studied by the football league which could result from leaving us docked with 10 points, to the extreme of expulsion from the football league or considerations could be relegation to division two or a large -minus points to start next season in division one or two
ACL believe the whole club should be in administration which will be confirmed or dropped in May
If the whole club does go into administration then expect many, many offers from different groups besides Haskell as the set up and potential returns is unbelievable which does not take an intellegent person to realise
Haskell takes it one stage further at an early stage which CCC have noted that he is interested in developing all of the land around the stadium something he has already done in other countries as he is mainly a property developer
The administrator irrelevant of being SISU appointed has to do what is best for all and SISU will be way down the list with their new plan and their previous history
The only problem is that if the whole club does not go into administration then SISU will be still in control but i am quite sure that a deal of some sorts will be done sooner or later particularly if the football league come down on us heavily as the fans will be in uproar and SISU will certainly want to disappear
Some of the comments about Haskell and Gary Hoffman etc are totally wide of the mark in my opinion as he haskell and any otheres are waiting for the correct moment to act and the timing is crucial and Gary Hoffman irrelevant of his critics happens to actually deal with hedge fund type companies as the likes of SISU every other week and every other type of company in his day job that is why the government appointed him to some tough projects in the past -lucky to have him fighting our corner and helping to secure our future
