We have to wait for some contracts to expire because no one wants, say, Wood or McSheffrey that's why our top earners are still here.

I may have misjudged, but, why are you saying this as if it's a bad thing? I might be wrong, but I guess you were one of the 1st people to moan about lack of investment?

Well, I imagine SISU pay Falkirk directly and then invoice the Club which will be paid at a later date. It's all their money anyway at the end of the day.

However it works I'm pleased to see us going after someone they apparently wanted rather than taking the easy option and giving it to someone out of work.

But the business model, one partially imposed on them by the football league, and to be honest, just sensible, is that the football club should be financially viable and, Like any business, live within its means. Businesses don't just get propped up by their owners all the time, they want the club to be self sufficient.

Every now and then, the owner may invest - or be forced to dip into - their own money in order to move it forward/keep it going.

Wouldnt recommend that as it would be illegal............. the 3rd Party debtor order is on Huddersfield so the money owed to CCFC is frozen in their hands not CCFC's. Can not be paid out until decided in court 02/05/13

Exactly. SISU are not broke, CCFC are. SISU have ploughed 45m into the club to keep it alive. Their objective is to see CCFC stand on its own feet. Outside sources are making this virtually impossible. Am sure something major will happen soon to break the impasse.

Surely ACL would expect SISU to appoint the best manager they can, and if that happens to be SP, then so be it. The money to do this has probably come from other sources thanks to ACL having our accounts frozen. As for the rent, if I were ACL and acting in the best interests, I would look at a way to work the rent issue out so that CCFC remains at the Ricoh.

That said if you want to sign a player for 10m, that comes down to how much money you have and how ambitious you are-has nowt to do with the FFP regulations.

As I said on the other page,

The third Party Debt order froze the money that was in the accounts when it was issued.

Any money going in after that point isn't part of the order so therefore cannot be claimed by ACL and the Council.

So any money they earn from ticket sales etc since the Debt Order is there's (SISU's) to do with as they please!

And I agree, I don't believe they are skint, not yet anyway :/

Self Sufficient - guess all football club owners dream of!! Need some success to achieve larger gates, or gates > then budget for. Some success requires investment, more success requires further investment and so on. QPR £90m in debt to achieve premier status - relegation will cause them a few problems.

ACL aren't stupid. They will soon clock that SISU are prepared to fund the club indirectly and will then tell SISU to pay them or watch their investment in CCFC turn to dust.

If SISU are serious about trying to get their way with ACL then they shouldn't pay the players/ Falkirk for their manager and then call their bluff. As it is ACL can see their 'tell' quite easily!
