Isn't the aim to get rid of SISU? Catch 22. The more that come, the longer they stay.
The less that go to matches, the closer we get to going bust.

The aim at the moment should be the continuation of the club and preventing it from going out of business.

This part of the problem, so many people are fixated on driving SISU out, yet fail to realise that it could result in the club folding completely. If the club do not get a better deal with regards to the stadium, then no one is ever going to want to invest or buy us.

Seeing as the Ricoh is apparently a community resource according to some, wonder what the chances are that they'd let a few of us in Sunday with our boots for a bit of a kick-about?

Just a posh rec' when all's said and done.

Edit: Thinking about it, wouldn't work on "Council days", all the "Keep off the grass" signs, and getting chased off the pich by an 80 year old with a rake would put me off.

Yeah and sliding tackling in dog shit that someone hasn't cleaned up is always fun!

I'm getting prepared to go to Council Meetings instead of the football now, they seem to have more supporters than the club nowadays.

"Come on you Parks and Recreations commitee", "Up the Highways", "Roads, get into 'em, dig 'em up, get into 'em, dig 'em up",

hahahaha!!

Council drop the rent, give the club full match day revenue. Therefore sisu spend more money on players, we get promoted. Sisu make some money, buy the stadium and sell the whole package off for a tidy profit.

Do you truly believe that would happen? Nobody trusts them to do that...I wonder why:facepalm:

Sisu want to sell the club for a profit, only way that's going to happen is through success. I think thay have realised that now. I do believe if the club was making money, that they would invest a part of it on players.

If SISU really were £45m in debt, and you was Joy Septic, would you really chase something you had no chance of catching?
Said it a million times now...They have ZERO credibility now, and any business with half a brain won't touch them...and that includes ACL and CCC.
They had the chance on takeover to buy the Ricoh, but reneged, choosing to rent. Ray Ranson made £20m ready for "Taking this Club forward"
I think the Finnish way of taking something forward is to put it in reverse!
SISU did nothing to keep us in the Championship...Unless selling "Jukebox"(The only player we had scoring more than 7 goals) was a positive step forward
Never saw any re-investment from that sale...Did you?
Players have been brought in...I admit that, but only at the expense of "Higher earners" let go. eg- 2 players earning £4k pw go....3 players earning £2k pw come in= 2 out...3 in... 1 extra player....£2k pw in SISU pockets........There's more to the SISU endgame than meets the eye m8...trust me!

That equates to over £100k per year + high interest in the "Caymen Islands"...and that is only one player!;)

Wood apparently on £8k per week, that equates to nearly £500k per year.

And that is only one player!

£500k per year out of Sisu's pockets!

Westwood....apparently £10k...gone.....£520k per year in SISU pockets
King.............apparently £13k...gone.....£676k per year in SISU pockets
Doyle...........apparently £10k...gone.....£520k per year in SISU pockets
Gunnarsson..apparently £8k....gone......£416k per year in SISU pockets
Jukebox.......apparently £7k....gone......£364k per year in SISU pockets
and that's just a fraction of wages saved over last season and a half
McIndoe=big earner,Turner=big earner,Keogh=big earner. cba to find out apparent wages for the rest of 'em.
ALL those big earners GONE....no high earners in.......Still want to argue the point Summerisle:whistle:

Do we not pay anybody at all now then? Yes.

How much profit do we make then? None.

Do we lose millions every season? Yes.

What money exactly is flowing to these Cayman Island accounts?

December 2005 - We'd been at the Ricoh for four months:

HARD-UP Coventry City are trying to renegotiate the deal to rent the Ricoh Arena to help them through their current cash crisis.

Acting chairman Geoffrey Robinson has admitted he is in talks with the Arena company and Coventry City Council as part of his financial restructuring plan for the club.

The Sky Blues are paying pounds 1m a year to rent the new 32,000-seater stadium but Mr Robinson refused to confirm or deny that the club had approached the city council to release some of that cash to pay players' wages.

The money from the club's sale of Premier Club memberships to local businesses is held in a special account as a guarantee that it will pay its rent to the Arena company. It is understood the council - a major partner in the Arena scheme - would have to approve it being used for any other purpose.

The club is struggling financially as attendances at the Ricoh are not reaching the 23,000 break-even point given by former chairman Mike McGinnity earlier in the season but Mr Robinson categorically denied that the club was heading into administration.

"No, absolutely not," he said.

He said they were in talks with the Arena company, Coventry City Council and the club's bank over the best deal to suit everyone.

But he admitted the club will probably not be coming up with its financial plan for the next three years in time for its December 20 annual general meeting. He has already said the club's accounts will not be ready to be presented to the meeting.

The Coventry North West MP said: "We're in negotiations with all our partners to make sure we have genuinely well-based, profitable future which is what everybody wants.

"We're working on a plan for financial stability of the club and we'll make a statement (about that) as soon as we can.

"The late opening of the stadium caused problems. The point of the discussions is to (secure) the financial stability of the club over the next three years."

Asked if the club had requested a rebate of pounds 1 million from the city council, Mr Robinson said: "I'm not making any comment about the state of negotiations."

And who's fault is that, 100% Shitsu's or are you going to blame ACL/CCC for the club selling all our best players in the previous two seasons to this one long before the rent became such a massive issue for them

The club's horrible mess is self inflicted starting with Richardson and continuing through to Fisher. Don't think that's in much doubt.

Had to reduce costs, and it seems that the favoured way to do so by many on here was by reducing the wage-bill and selling players so we could pay poor little ACL, so all the starving children were okay.

Once that exhausted, then the rent probably the only cost that they could look at in the abscence of enough people willing to pay more than a fiver to go to the Ricoh.

Richard Wood and David Bell combined cost almost as much as the rent.

Haven't got a problem with your post BSB.
But when we're told that we now have no debts on takeover, and are told we are 1 of only 3 football clubs who are debt free, and are having £20m to "Take this Club forward"
Then within 4 months of tenure the "Cull" begins Dann and Fox to start with, remortgage on Ryton. The rest is history.

Anybody who actually believed the crap from Ranson that we were "debt-free" needs their head looking at, like those who didn't think that we were actively looking to sell Fox and Dann because we needed the money.

It was bit longer than 4 months though on Fox and Dann, about a season and a half after they signed them, and Cluelss Coleman even with that squad could still do no better, even with the money spent on it.

The debt free remark was correct with non SISU creditors-all of it is to the owners. As for Fox and Dann, not even the likes of Man Utd avoid having their best players signed off them.

Bu surly they would have known the exact costs they were going to have to lay out, including the rent, when they did their take over. And if they didn't shows what twats they were and still are.

Did you see the contract? maybe it said that the rent would be reduced? I dont know but to say they are a bunch of twats without any tangible evidence is very stupid.

Did you see the contract ?

So we have been lied to from day one of the take over. And you say people who wanted to believe the club was finally out of the woods need their heads looking at. and yet after 5yrs of lies, half truths and out and out bull ****,they still manage to pull the wool over some very gullible people eyes including yourself

No but THEY would would have. And if that contract had said anything about rent reduction we wouldn't be having all these threads by Torch and Grendel, on how ACL are ripping the club off because SHITSU would have claimed the reduction 5yrs ago.

Never pulled the wool over my eyes from the beginning, and still haven't now, but we're stuck with them with nobody else to take-over.

Calling them twats because you did fall for them just to make yourself feel better for being a fucking idiot in the first place isn't constructive.
