What is the big win here for Trump, not sure I see it?

The people who are declaring it a Trump victory seem to be comparing it to the 1951 agreement, but that has been udpated and amended multiple times since. There's negligible gains here, if any, from what I can see. But I may well be missing something.

Even the 'new' bases aren't new. One is an existing US facility, Bluie West One, they closed as it was deemed no longer required. That will be brought back online. The other is an existing operational facility, Mestersvig, at which the US will now have a presence.

The biggest changes seem to be around increased environmental protection and Greenland's right to self determination.

Of course, as with the wall, Trump is claiming someone else will be paying for all of this. There is no mention of that anywhere in the deal.

Depends if the markets being manipulated like it has been the last 2yrs, although it's had that feeling without the Trump effect,of course this is nothing new, remember kids getting £1000 a few years ago.
