Absolutely crying about VAR. I mean let's be brutally honest, he got his foot stepped on and it's a foul. To his (silly) credit he actually tried to stay on his feet.

Gabriel from Arsenal would have rolled over 7 times
Fook em!

Yeah. You can see the anguish on Yirenkyi's face, but he definitely should have gone down there.

Did you see Gabriel go down after being “pushed” today??? The guys an embarrassment

Yeah did the ref play on with that one? Honestly one of the things I hate abiut modern football. Bta and emc have both started doing it too.
Yeh played on!! After he’d hand balled it a few times trying to grab the ball when on the floor

Having seen it properly for the first time , its a foul

It's an obvious foul at the end if the day. They should ask themselves this. If it was roles reversed, they'd be demanding a penalty, no?

They are doing it to cover their short comings

Weird one in that I would hate to be on the receiving end of that decision even though it's fair enouhh. Yirenki was so honest, shouldn't play a part of course but who knows what gets in these VAR lads heads! PUSB

Watching it back the reaction of their player was telling. No celebration, no gesticulation or anger either when it went to VAR or when it was overturned. He knew.

They seem to be relying on the fact it took a couple of steps for him to fall that it wasn’t a foul.

Whether he fell or not is irrelevant. He had his foot trod on which is a foul

One of our players did it with marks of 4.5 4.7 4.7.4.5 from the judges. It’s not good TV.

If they don't give it, it just proves to players they should dive to the floor to get a decision. I think we're starting to learn a thing or two, our players have started going down over nothing tackles now.

In real time it looked a calamity but as soon as I saw the VAR angle I knew it was a foul. VAR gives that as a foul 100% of the time to every team imo, so fuck knows what they are moaning about.

It's a non contact sport pretty much at Prem level. Forests players went over disgustingly easy.

Agreed.
As Shearer said on motd, “this is exactly why we’ve got VAR”. In real time it looked like he’d stumbled. VAR showed why he’d stumbled.
We’ll no doubt have a few of these go against us over the season, and likely be pissed off, but there’s no arguing with it.

We've seen it every game against us. The worst was probably Anderson at Man City, went down like a sniper has picked him out and as soon as he got the decision, bounced straight back to his feet and was playing again.

Yeh he's a little scrote

I was surprised when I saw the VAR decision, as after hearing on the drive back what some were saying, I was expecting it to be more controversial. It was a foul, and the right decision. Simple.

I agree with the comments about flopping, and in which we have players who are guilty. Should be more heavily punished.

Reminded me of when Spence got trod on by Messi in lead up to Argentina’s goal. He goes down there then likely foul and no goal. VAR should’ve intervened but didnt and player was punished for trying to stay on his feet and not make the most of it.

right call yesterday but Yirenkyi nearly caused a problem by trying to do the right thing. Good old VAR !

Remind me where Man City signed him from

We saw it last season with all the relegated clubs too. Ipswich and Southampton at the CBS had the ref on strings all match. The only reason why Leicester didnt get the decisions too was because in a derby perhaps the ref doesnt give as much. Didn't stop them trying though with that defender, on his back, feet if the air for the Tats goal. Pathetic. Now EMC and BTA are trying the same. Its the prem way unfortunately. If you cant beat then join them seems to be the message.
