On paper, yes. Going by the commentary, no

Certainly can hear him play now!

Again, puts to bed the myth that he needs to have a strike partner in a 4-4-2!

Fucking co'mon City!

No doubt the type of goal a one legged blind man could have scored - we want "Cody"

Whilst I wasn't impressed with his work rate in his first few games, the people saying he should be dropped for Cody McDonald are delusional.

Well done Clarke just never heard his name for first 30 minutes

But why would you single him out? we have been spanked the entire first half so he would be getting no service and has to stay up front because of the formation. I have heard more of Clarke than baker, jennings and martin. Just think he takes far far too much shit just because his name isn't David McGoldrick.

Wasn't giving him shit not slagged the bloke off once since he's been here if you read into my sarcasm it also points at most of the team as they havent given him a chance playing up front on his own.

I've seen him Improve his allround game /performance over the last 3 games which is icing on the cake as he was doing the other essential part of the job with aplomb.

He made that goal himself by the sounds of it. Good to see Carsley getting that part of his game out of him

My gripe with him was that in comparison to McGoldrick he seemed to want things making for him, but under Carsley hes got two goals now where hes fought off defenders, ran at goal and made the goal himself! Very pleasing to see hes resolved that concern of mine and proved me wrong

Edit: post may look like im arguing with myself by quoting myself. I just thought id continue where I left off incase anyone thinks of calling the men in white coats....

Has anyone on here said we should drop Clarke for Cody ?

Clarke and Cody could work well imo, but not drop Clarke for him

Clearly 20 goals with 10 games to go isn't enough for some people! When was the last time we had a 20 goal in a season striker? I don't think we have since we have been relegated! PUSB

Clarke scores when he receives quality balls in, like on sat. He's are best striker by miles. Without him we probably would have 10 points less in the league.

Without him, Robins would have had someone else lined up so i wouldn't guarantee we'd be 10 points worse off

I think we've been pretty damn lucky to have replaced David Mc with Clarke. Might not be the prettiest but the guy is prolific at this level. Just wish some of the others would chip in !!! Keep it up Clarkey !!!
