I'd upgrade Woolfenden and Esse to ok. Both have provided good cover. Woolfy has been fairly solid when he's started centre back. If KKH is an ok then Woolfy should definitely be an ok as well. A shame with Ayari, he was just wrong place at the wrong time. Overall a very good success rate by Dean Austin and his team

They are sniffing glue. He's an almost 29 year old Championship midfielder with a year left on his contract. They'll happily take £5 million for him. The club isn't in a strong position this summer, they need to sell to plug the gap of the parachute payments running out.
Hamer will leave and their 'big' sale will be one of their younger players like Brooks or Peck to a team that can afford to pay a reasonable sum for potential.

They'll probably take the profit on O'Hare too if they're really strapped, burrows too though I wouldn't go there personally.

We were never going to luck out on finding someone of Vik's quality for a song again.

Other than him, at Championship level, he is the best we've ever had.

Exactly, 7m-9m is a lot of money for us, but it's a drop in the ocean for a Championship team in the 2020s.

If you factor in inflation, our previous record signing - Bellamy for £6.5m in 2000 would be £12,587,000 in today's money.

Even the misses are all pretty low risk signings. Since league 2 the only ‘big signing’ for the league and position we were in at the time that didn’t pay off was Tyler Walker. And even he scored 10 in 68 which isn’t terrible.

I think Tyler Walker gets a raw deal from City fans. Sure, he was no Gyokeres, but he was integral in keeping us up in that first difficult year back in the Championship. Maybe because it was behind closed doors, but scoring 7 goals in a struggling team when he formed that good partnership with Biamou after Godden got injured is a big contribution to our years rising up the leagues.

Definitely not one of our disaster signings, contributed to our story until we outgrew him.

I think MWE will attract some real interest once he's played a few games in the prem. To my eye he has really improved under Lamps, especially his defending and decision making. I'll predict plenty of established prem teams who would like to pair his recovery pace with ability to overlap and long throw capabilities, can easily see a bid of £20m+ for him within the next 12 months, rather than the £6-8m previously touted. Hope we keep him, for both his ability and personality.

Rightly deserved more than some flowers. There were quite a lot of fans who were calling for Badlan back as recently as the new year. I think this promotion has proved that the current recruitment team are on another level.
